Metal brace, according to BMW manual, is 56 Nm joining torque and then 90 degrees with a wrench, which is pretty hard, which is probably why they say to replace those aluminum bolts every time.
Good choice on the DINAN ignition coils ! I do suggest some di-electric / silicon grease on the openings of the coils to prevent water and oil from leaking into the connection. Very helpful video.
It’s not too bad, this was my first video so I probably made it look more time consuming than it really was….my apologies for that haha. More videos soon!
The problem with "short" engine bays / hoods is the back half of the engine gets stuffed under the cowling or windshield. BMW recommends replacing spark plugs every 60,000 miles. Modern Iridium spark plugs are rated for 100,000 miles. The ignition coils should have a similiar life expectancy. So you will not have to perform a spark plug / coil replacement very often.
60,000 ? I have a 2020 330i and it say every 30,000 and 60,000 ignition coil and I will say that is the max you should do it more frequently if it’s tune and mod it and like to speed. there’s recommendations are for factory cars and on a every day normal drive plus environment on the location you live at more dust means more maintenance on the car

correct no need at all
Nice job!
Thank you
@@OfficialHobbyBMWbro the links does not work
I have a f30 b48 running a stage 2 tune from bm3, how often should I change my ignition coils and spark plugs ? And should I do oem or upgraded
Change them every 20,000 to 30,000 miles. Everyone uses NGK 94201 for B48/B58.
The screws at 5:21 are one-time use, no?
no
One time use as per BMW manual.
Just a heads up the links under the video don't work.
Good luck!
Wow 5 min job to 1h job for one spark plug 😅
