@@joestropicals6760 hi Joe, yes I was going to do just a paw paw video but I wanted to film the roseapple while it was still in new growth flush because it looks so tropical and amazing. Thank you fir noticing mate! Cheers
@@srishdhanu thank you. It survived winter again and it got bigger but it loses its leaves in winter. When the new leaves get larger I will provide another update. Thank you for your comment 👌
@@madrabbitwoman good point, I will edit the title to read "north american paw paw" Sorry to hear that you lost yours. I got mine from yamina rare plants in monbulk, Victoria
Great to see a high fruit set Paul, i would expect a few to be shed during the growing season. With your longer, warmer growing season I'd expect you to get larger fruit than I get here. I'm sure you posted that video to tease George lol 😉, he's been disappointed with his so far. I think his need more feeding and more watering as they are slow to get going as young trees
@@lyonheart84 gday mate, thanks for the advice on shedding. I was worried about the weight actually if they all hung on. I didn't know George was trying NA Paw Paw too.. I wonder where he got them from. I got these 2 very mature from a nursery in the bush that even the owner had lost track of. In hindsight, a very lucky find
Omg you’re in Melbourne! Sorry just got to the end of the video. Could you please have. Backyard tour open to interested parties please, I’d love to register and visit to understand how you are managing to grow these exotic fruits in Melbourne?! Absolutely amazing!
@@jengsterinc1176 G'day and thank you for the encouragement 😀 Are you in Melbourne too? Eventually I will do garden tours when everything is matured and bearing fruits but for now I can give advice on anything you need. My email is jaboticaba1978@gmail.com if you have any questions. Which varieties would you be interested in growing? In about 3 weeks I will film a complete garden tour, there are almost 100 plants now. Property size is just under 700sqm including house, carport and sheds. Cheers
@UrbanBounty my friend Ayesha has the lewinski variety actually flowering here in Brisbane, pity she doesn't have a pollinator, lol. No one else I know has been able to keep them alive here. I think she grew it as an experiment
Nice fruit set on the pawpaws, Paul! Those trees are really starting to take off now 👍
Yes they are and they can get as tall as they like in that position too! Cheers Peter
Wow very exciting
You’ll be impressed with them
@@Coolclimatetropicalfruits thanks mate.
Of all the fruit trees, these were the hardest to source and I can't wait fir fruit 👌
Great update! Good to see the rose apple going strong.
The pawpaw are getting big!
@@TemperateTropicalDownUnder thanks mate! In the position the paw paw are in they can get very tall
@ I bet.

Looking forward to that
Paul, your Rose Apple looks beautiful and looks happy in its new spot in ground.

Took me a bit to realise you were talking about american paw paw
I lost mine last summer ("helper" decided to turn off my watering system) and haven't been able to obtain another 😢

Awesome Paul, you will have to plant the seeds and graft them up. Im sure there would be demand for them.
Gday mate, yes I think so too. Still quite hard to find these plants

Just reminded me I have last years in the fridge and they’ve been in there long enough to plant now
@Coolclimatetropicalfruits gday Neil.
Do you have to give them a spell in the fridge to germinate?
@@UrbanBounty yes they need cold stratification I think it was 3 months needed
