Clear and practical teaching! Your videos have helped me quite a bit.
If I had commissioned work I’d want the *painting* shipped in the most secure way , in a tube, and I’d have it mounted locally.

Hope you feel better soon ! I started out with oil but just couldn’t master it. I felt like all I did was clean my brushes and I didn’t like the smell. I love painting with acrylic. I enjoy your videos.

I really like the way you soften your colors together. It makes such a big difference in the outcome of the painting in my opinion. Also, can we see your large painting you will be shipping to the U.S.? :)

If you mail it Flat... protect all the corners (use premade cardboard units for corners or styrofoam strips). I would also use thin styrofoam or a like material on the front and back. You don't need to use plywood which would cost a lot. You might buy thick foam core, half to three quarters of an inch thick. It is surprisingly strong and keeps the weight down. I do this all the time. Being a printmaker, rolling prints on paper is the go to choice. Canvass would need to be re-stretched on the other end. Another cost. Anyway, I love your work. Good luck!

Absolutely beautiful painting. Your videos are so refreshing and relaxing to watch, and there's only one other channel that is as pleasing to watch, and that's Paul Ranson. You both are truly terrific teachers. I only hope that one day I will be able to paint as nicely, too. I thank you kindly for sharing your art and your vault of knowledge! _(PS - __3:00__ - In such dilemmas, I'd reach out to the client and allow them to decide.)_

Roll your painting and put the frame in, well wrapped so it doesn't damage the canvas. I got a big thick tube from a carpet shop free. 2 metres. You will need longer than 1 metre so you can pack each end of the painting.

Stephen, if you decide to roll the canvas. Think about using a length of PVC. You can buy the endcaps for the ends. Even the postal service will not harm that. I think a Plywood crate would be very expensive to make, but the cost of shipping would be extravagant $$$$$$. I would like to thank you for your painting tutorials. I'm now starting to learn something.

I am just getting started with oil painting. I have been doing water color for years now. What brand of paint do you suggest? Is there a difference in the way it blends? Can I buy just the standard acrylic boards for painting that you buy in a hobby store? I am looking forward to starting one of your beautiful paintings. I have a soft spot for sheep and have my own very small herd.
