Check back in to see my review after I test out the W7R. My initial impression is quite positive. The design and build is fantastic. All that's left to see is how well it fares in the field.

Does the light have a clamp to attach to any surface?

The W1R has a clip that can attach to the brim of your hat, or backpack strap, or lapel. This one which I unboxed in this video, the W7R, has a magnetic base and metal hook, but no clamp.
