damned right although it is kind of amusing to hear Elfi Schlegel constantly praise her and call her "the best" knowing that Nastia took her job with NBC shortly after the 2012 Trials.
I love the switch leg split with her head thrown back. And the Onodi is probably the prettiest balance beam skill ever (when it's done well)--so fluid!
I have always loved how fluid Nastia in each of her movements in this routine. It’s almost as if she was a ballerina dancing, transitioning to next move with such grace and elegance. If you look at @0:21 even bending over to do a back flip was so smooth, it demonstrates her control. To me she combines both the artistry and athleticism of gymnastics and adopted her own unique style to showcase the balance of both. I just absolutely love her, and her story is what drew me to watch gymnastics throughout the years.
On her front aerial and layout step out she always does the splits in the air! Her grace reminds me of Anna Pavlova from Russia! both have pretty much same qualities :)
It takes a long time to develop the skills for a routine. And a gymnast's beam and floor exercise always uses the same choreography for at least one season.
@Likasnmiba cuz it's just their routine. like you make one routine and you perfect it, sometimes you make little additions to it, and then you continuously perform that routine. making like 5 routines would be way too much and it would be a lot harder to have them all be perfect.
Her connections are so slow and her head NEVER goes fully back when she does the sheep or the ring jump. Although her lines are gorgeous, I still prefer Shawn’s routine overall.
I like nastia but her consistency is lacking. Somedays she is wonderful and the next she looks as if she hasn't practiced half of her routine. But when she has a good day its really great to watch her!
I don't think Nastia has the acrobatic abilities and strength to do what Shawn was able to do, but I think Shawn could have done Nastia's routine with great ease.
You know what I like BEST about his clip!? NO STUPID commentary.

@@GeometricMason why are y’all so obsessed with hating tim and elfi? They’ve made a few dumb comments but y’all act like they’re war criminals
Yes thank god, no 'oh and her "lines" and stupid comments about her body!!!!
@@jboww2121 elfie was horrid. Tim I actually kinda like but Elfie was pure evil😭
She has the best Onodi ever.
And front aerial
Hollie Vise has better onodi
i prefer Koko Tsurumi’s
I like Aliya Mustafina’s Onodi
Mustafina
Nastia always has the prettiest leos and the prettiest gymnastics
I love the switch leg split with her head thrown back. And the Onodi is probably the prettiest balance beam skill ever (when it's done well)--so fluid!
her toe point is ridiculous! =)
Her Onodi is the best I've ever seen it done, better than Onodi herself.
Hollie did ur better

She looks like an angel in white, ngl
She makes the side aerial look beautiful and not ugly :)
kelsey zoot that’s a side somi not side Ariel
that's a side somi but alr
Trials are your always mind blowing because you know your going to hit solid routines
Khorkina to Liukin to Mustafina.
Who will be next? Russian blood is the perfect temperature for good gymnastics.
R. McDuffie Komova I think on this line too)))
Well, we have now Listunova, Urazova and Gerasimova. Good generations of Russian gymnasts are coming.
Fernando Núñez and Angelina melnikova
Dead silence in there
On her front aerial and layout step out she always does the splits in the air!

Love her forevrrrrr, my legit fav gymnast
My favorite!!!! Love this girl
She is my fave gymnast everr
this routine is perfect!
her execution of the same routine during the 2008 Olympic All-Around is best beam routine ever.
I love nastia so much.
Miss this girl so much, she really needs to come back.
She's in her 30's now. I think she's happy to be doing commentary, etc.
Stunningly beautiful beam work.
Indeed
i realized how useful are those beam markings
shes amaze🎉
great routine except for the giant hop on the landing. and she reminded me of carly patterson here. great and so light on her feet
It takes a long time to develop the skills for a routine. And a gymnast's beam and floor exercise always uses the same choreography for at least one season.
i love that her legs are always straight and she almost always points her toes :)
the onodi is the skill that she does after her side somi :)

@gymnast768 I think she just got bounced a bit from the mats. It's hard to stick that.
@MsGymnast123 yeah do you go to either one of their gyms? Don't think so. They are two different kind of gymnasts. Stop comparing them.
why do they do the same routine over and over? Im just curious. :D
it's all about muscle memory.
I
i always thought her pause after the front ariel was too long. longer than everyone else's
which one is the onodi?
0:56

you just dont see score like this anymore...
Says “Olivia Courtney” in the background. 🤣
I like nastia but her consistency is lacking. Somedays she is wonderful and the next she looks as if she hasn't practiced half of her routine. But when she has a good day its really great to watch her!
how in the world did she get a 16.100 on this routine????? Did the judges not see how bent her legs were in at least two or three of her moves??!!!!
What happened to her here!?!
She had a couple little balance checks. What happened was she went to Beijing a couple months later and kicked ass.
Doesn't seem like a very challenging routine. She does look very graceful though!
It is. Her difficult score is pretty high, she’s just so graceful she makes it look easy
Nastia just never seemed as in control of her body as Shawn Johnson did. There, I said it. Flame away, I brought marshmallows.
I respect nastia as a gymnast i just dont think that she is as good as shawn johnson....she is very talented but i believe shawn trys harder
Nastia does, except she makes it look effortless
tim is so annoying and so is elfi i agree with you!
Kinda overscored for me. Can see easily a full point off in execution on this routine.
killatj11 ikr
Her gymnastics is beautiful but she is always overscored
Bernard Jomari Razote to be fair in this code of point everyone was overscored in execution
If she had 1.0 in deductions, Shawn Jhonson had 2.0, it’s another CoP.
@@vitorhugosantana7053 right. people always say that Nastia was over scored compared to Shawn but Shawn’s BB execution today would be torn apart lol
it was ok...dont particularly like that move though...
She always seems to wobble..but i cant do even half of that not even in the ground so yeah!
@MsGymnast123 nastias more artistic and shawns more power... you really cant even comparee them
I don't think Nastia has the acrobatic abilities and strength to do what Shawn was able to do, but I think Shawn could have done Nastia's routine with great ease.
I love nastia but it kinda looks like her ankles are dislocated from her legs. They're kinds to bendy! But I guess thats okay for a gymnast :)
when does that move at 0:10 it makes me think, don't they wedgies or something
Nastia always has the prettiest leos and the prettiest gymnastics
