Where in Thailand is Little America
“Soi” means street. It is the street we live on in Mueang Prachuap Khiri. The village leader along with us and the 4 other American’s who live on our Soi, gave it the nickname name “Soi Little America”.
I'm so happy you two are showing single people that are by themselves their especially females gives me some hope

My water bill runs about $85 USD here in west Texas. In the summer it's about $95 - $100 when I water my few plants. Eggs are going for $5 to $7USD a dozen. Renting a house is over $1,000 A month and that's on the low end because I'm sure rents are higher on the west and east coast. I own my house but everything is getting so expensive one can't keep up with the bills. I was at Wal-Mart the other day and saw an elderly lady working there checking the receipts; a very friendly lady. I asked her how old she was and she told me she was 86 years old! How sad. She has to work just to make ends meet. 😩
So sorry to hear that. Just one reason why I decided not to retire in the US.
I have never heard of stuffed pork chops they do look good. It's been a stressful week but, seeing Gifts happy dance makes it all better.🙏👍

Bummer on the COLA, I'm 58 and I got it on VA disability, up over $4000 a month now with that whopper raise!! Next year they will give us the standard .7%-1.0%. Biggest increase since Carter. Another Great video gang!

Everyone received the COLA adjustment. If you had kept track of your estimated benefit in Oct. and now, you would notice the 9.8% increase.
First it was not 9.8% and secondly, if you watch the video, I explained why not everyone was eligible. You can goggle it or call OPM yourself, that is if you are a federal employee or retiree.
Hi, Joe & Gift, I enjoyed your video. It's a shame you missed out on the increase. Maybe next time around. You guys are so Blessed to have Nicole and Mike as neighbours. Nicole's cooking skills are wonderful. A far cry from Thai food and you want that some of the time. It was great to see Kara we have not seen or heard much about what is going on in her life. She has mastered the Kiat and ventures off on her own and is doing well. I bet she misses her boy. It won't be long before they return then Soy America will be complete. Take care.

It is owned by the family that sold us our lot. I asked if they would sell it and they said no.

If you are eligible for social security, you are receiving the cola. I would check your SS statement. It should give you an idea on how much you can get at age 62 and 67 which is your full retirement age. Part of your benefit increasing every year is based upon your age, about 6.2% annually and whatever cola is given every year. BtW, the nest year to take SS is generally around age 64 1/2. Missed the videos.....I was wondering what you and Gift were up to.

Such a shame, you get offended and butt hurt from a title of a video. Guess you never heard of Korea Town, China Town or Little Italy. BTW, our Thai village chief put a sign up as you enter our Soi and it says “ Soi Little America”. Recommend you stop watching UA-cam and continue watching the news. Have a nice day.
Oh I think it’s sweet that it’s called Little America. If you watch the videos, you can see they are fully immersed in Thai life. At different levels but adjusting every day more. It would be weird to deny your own culture and pretend to be someone else. I think they all show appreciation and respect for Thailand.
