@@Vulcapyro I mean...he did it on MAME. Which doesn't have correct slowdown. Which makes it harder to pull off than the 360 port, which is what Sairyou (first person to beat it in Training Mode under legit conditions) used.

Like, what other game takes 10 whole years to be legitimately beaten (and even then, save-states were needed to learn how to do it) by its playerbase?
@@thatkles My knowledge on rythm games is rather limited, but if you are asking, I guess there must be a reason; if those songs you are talking about were custom ones made by the players, then I'd say they are on a different category than this other achievement, since this is base content of the game that was made by its developers, not something that came after (because the players will always create things tougher than those already present in the original game, so I personally differentiate between the two).

The next step would be to practice these routes and get consistent enough to beat it during actual runs. Then grind out runs on emulator until he gets consistent at that. Only then finally do it on actual arcade hardware

Just think about it this way... This boss went undefeated, even in practice mode, for more than a decade. The first Inbachi clear with non-defsult settings happened less than a year ago and the guy who figured most of it out is the only person that's somewhat close to pulling of the feat in a real arcade run. When it happens IF it happens, it'll be historic and would probably be the last time we see the CAVE crew doing an interview with a player again. Jaimers is godlike nonetheless and he's the only person I've seen besides Sairyou do this feat. Nothing short of legendary.

If there’s a game mode dedicated to just that one inhumane boss on the EXA cabinet, then yes. Can you believe a human being beat this boss in a full run in 1 credit?!
they knew this was their last game so they went all out and made a boss that even the best super players couldn't beat, pushing human ability to its absolute limit (which was always the intention with these final bosses.) It's a testament to how rock solid the combat mechanics are that they were able to push it so far.
How can you set up savestates with this game? Is it just some new version of mame? I have the Xbox 360 port and am just asking so I can practice properly when I get around to this game
