Yes people say it’s the 18th hardest game but I would put it a lot higher. You can’t dodge, you are prone to damage and the only way to not die is to kill the boss fast enough.
Part of me really wishes there was a manga or anime for Ikaruga that revolved around Shinra before and during the events of the game. Damn does this game have an awesome plot that's barely explored, like the events prior to Gurren Lagaan.
@@crazytiger800 Gunstar Heroes, Sin and Punishment, Ikruga, Radiant SilverGun and Guardian Heroes are all connected in someway and have little hints and references to eachother as well as many reoccuring overarching themes and narratives show up in almost all of the aforementioned game series.

In the story, (or at least the japanese version) ou die, but the world is freed from the cycle of death and rebirth and you ascend to a higher plain of existance. So more bittersweet than anything. A better ending than Radiant Silvergun at least.
To unlock stages for conquest mode, you must andvance the game withouth continuing, even if you lost all your lives and decide to surrender, the stages will be unlocked anyway.
This guy would be dead 40x over if he were playing on Naomi or Dreamcast. Gamecube must have buffed the player hitbox to make it smaller or something. Half of the strats do not work on the originals. EDIT: I say this as someone who has beaten this game on Hard with a single coin

Why did I buy this game for my switch not knowing this comes with it,I only bought it cuz of nostalgic reasons and I would always see it in stores and store shelfs and see videos of it on G4 (when that was a thing) but never played it,looking at this video I made a grave mistake but $15 well spent? I guess?😂😂

That's because the guy in the video did all of them wrong. It's a lot easier with the speedkill strategies from high-score runs.

I never understand why you die in the end. I mean most games end with you returning home to celebrate victory but here you seem to sacrifice yourself.

Ikaruga is a stealth sequel to that game, which ends on a bad note.
Seems like the fighter's normal weapons had no effect on the last boss so he overloaded the weapons in order to kill the boss, dying in the process.
