I’m surprised at Iga. I used to like her when she first appeared on tour, and was full of admiration when she won Roland Garros in 2020. Recently it seems that she isn’t gracious when she loses to anyone other the Rybakina and Sabalenka. What did the umpire do that caused her to refuse to shake her hand? Definitely not good form. Of course she will be upset as her goal was to win gold for her country. In time, she will get over it. I think she knows that she choked the second set away. Did not see the match. I enjoy watching Iga. She is amazing on clay. That being said, she really needs to toughen up. For having a sports psychologist on her team, you would think that she could handle adversity a little better. She’s great when she’s up a set, but I’ve noticed that when she’s down a set, she’s as tight as a drum.
