    About thirty years ago my car got jammed in frozen snow. I had to dig it out with my hands. It was cruel. I have carried a shovel ever since.

    I am so so glad this channel has been putting up Morse's videos to preserve his knowledge. Thank you

    Experience talks. No nonsense, solid stuff. Just him offhandedly saying "30-40 years ago, when I come to the scene" speaks volumes of what Mors have seen and done.

    Thank you very much for posting, this video shows why Mors is the Master, something as simple as the lantern and a sleeping bag sure as hell beats crawling under and starting a fire like back in the 40's and fifty's

    Can you imagine how awesome it would have been to be pulled out of a snow bank by Mors?

      I like to think he would have loaned me his shovel and taught me not to break it!

      You people talk about him like he was Elvis or something. Simmer the fuck down. It'd be nice to be pulled out of a snowbank by anyone.

    I'm a truck driver that regularly travels from Arizona to Calgary Alberta. I have at least everything that's on his list and more including a lantern that uses diesel fuel from my tank I am truly amazed how many people travel What is minus 30 A lot colder And they don't have supplies including even drinking water a warm jacket

    Funny thought went through my mind. Most of what Mors told us was common knowledge to people that grew up in the 1930's to 1940's. Thanks for reminding me of some important lessons. Brian 79

    This is such an informative video it would be good to see it everyI need to see it every November to remind me. We live in the boonies and didn't know of or forget to carry most of the items Mors has shown. Shovel, jump cables, tire pump, sleeping bags, tow rope, matches, candles & food are a staple but the addition of the other simple items would definitely make it a sure bet to be able to help ourselves out of a situation.
    That lantern trick is awesome, not seen that before. Sure would beat pulling out the propane tank and blow torch!

    This would have been very useful when I lived in Montana, though I did do some of it without seeing his advice. Now that I live in Georgia . . .. =)

      Chains are still pretty useful in mud.

    • @Khalagata
      @Khalagata 4 роки тому

      @@Roman-lu1xn Chains are indeed, but the sleeping bags, Coleman Lanterns, etc are less useful down here where it never gets cold enough. The first cold snap I went through in Montana was the coldest it had been in decades. It was -42 actual temp, -82 with wind chill, average for that week. Sure could have used this advice back then. =)
