So here's the bits of past songs that they took for the outro: 1. The riffs - somewhat similar to the outro of Burning Down the Nicotine Armoire Pt. 2 2. "Oh you should've listened to your friend, you would've been over this by now" - Me and Zoloft Get Along Just Fine 3. "Step back, let go. I believe there's meaning no I believe there's nothing" - Surprise! I'm From Cuba, Everyone Else Have One Brain 4. The second "By now, I've found" - And I Told Them I Invented Times New Roman 5. "Who drinks the blood from my hand? I do. I do" - Acceptance Speech 6. "What excuses do you make, we own the night" - We Own the Night 7. "Repeat, repeat. Our history" - Tree Village 8. "For one good note" - The Backwards Pumpkin Song 9. "Well doesn't it feel good? You got what you paid for" - Alex English
those final lyrics they mesh together on that start with jon’s screaming, are all callbacks to their best lyrics over the decades that encapsulate the essence of their art and pathos: i believe there’s meaning, no-i believe there’s nothing
MY WISH GRANTED! great work, typing this as the ad plays, havent even seen it yet, but glad youre getting to evaporate now after having gone through the bulk of dgd discography
I’ve been waiting a long time for you to listen to this oneee, is one of my fav from them and kinda knowing what you like the most about them at this point I knew you’d enjoy it. Hope you listen to the studio version because it even more epic!!!! It’d be cool if you made a reaction to that one too and if you don’t, just enjoy iiiiiit man. Thanks for keep on doing this
The studio version is even better, I would check that out as well. There was an awesome unofficial lyrics video here on UA-cam, but I think it's been taken down (which is a damn shame). Man, I just realised that this version doesn't even have the wonderful high note from Tilian at 6:02, and his voice also sounds really artifical in this version. There must have been a lot of pitch correction on this recording =/ I never really liked the Tree City Sessions, it's like worse than studio but not really live either. Oh, one final thing: You HAVE to check out Galleons new record that's releasing tomorrow, it's has a track called Crybaby with Andrew Wells on guest vocals and it's a total banger!
This was the first song Andrew had lyrics on. He wasnt officially part of DGD yet. This was from Afterburner. The last part @ 6:06 is different lyrics from previous songs from all 3 eras. Someone uploaded a video on here and it breaks down which lyrics are from which songs. Also, a lot of people thought that they were breaking up after this album cause of this song (the ending) and its the last song on the album. Please check out the studio version!!
Maybe when you hear the studio version you’ll put it in your top 10 🤘 and no it’s not live sadly, but I guess I understand from what you said at the beginning

BROOOO!!!! Ive heard this song probably 500 times now - and still get shivers at the end. That duo ending is phenomenal

Man, love your DGD reactions, please dont stop even if they are not the most popular.

This is the last song off of Artificial Selection 😉
I think people thought they were breaking up because tillian got metooed around when this album came out
@M_reapr that was jackpot juicer not tree city sessions 2
And yes this was from Artificial Selection, it's ok, DGD had 4 incredible albums in a row.
