Stayed in that bothy few years back when doing my ML training, was great to stay there…must head back at some point. The great thing about bothies you never know who you’re gonna bump into and have a great chat and put the world to right! Btw must get in contact with me so can arrange a community wild camp get together. I run woods for learning in Sussex. Gary
Great watching that. Me and a mate did a camp and wild trout fishing session there in 2020. (with permission) We were based in the little wood at the end of the Dam. Brought back good memories 👍
All you need is good mates, excellent views, decent tunes and somewhere dry to put your head. Me and the Mrs are doing Wales this year, can’t wait. Great vydja Craig All the best fella 🤩👊🌟
Excellent, and very different. I've only been in a couple of bothys (Scotland) and only in the day. I've always been wary about sleeping in one in case someone dodgy comes along. Or worse than dodgy. 😳Glad it all worked out for you guys. Cheers mate ✌️ Nice paint work by the way. 😁
I stopped in a few Bothys in the 90's (Cairngorms) as part of a military team building expedition. Our small team met loads of friendly people who all joined in to keep the places respectable. We always left some current ration packs and firewood for the open hearth for those in true emergency refuge. These weren't as classy as yours but the sentiment rings true. Good to see. Top tip don't use white rocks to take a map bearing (sheep tend to move).
Wow - lovely little place. Pretty cosy, and fair play for helping out, these places are well useful! I could almost smell that panfull of bacon... atb Andy
What a vid. Yeah could be home with your missus mate but 12 hour shifts so you earned it brother. Don't be 54 and wish you seen all if beautiful Wales! I'd live there if I could get work. Can you please put a link to all your bushcraft mates and meet ups on top of ever post?? Need this community in my life!!! Just work, eat sleep watch thing's like these videos and wilde bear and used to watch Carlisle 195 with his ace actual stoves and houses. Getting OUT this year! Sons moved to Devon so 600 miles to explore!
Get a room, oh you did 😂, Wales is a beautiful country and thats one of it's lovely areas, not done a Bothy myself but me and the misses have thought about that one, it's not too far from a certain Medieval Priory that we've camped at. Nice one Graig and Co, all the best 👍🏻
Brilliant - rain is sometimes good for memories Yeah do the stovetop in Scotland factory and the hiking shops tours vblog i would be most interested cheers from syd oz
Great video once again Keith boot is a legend and a friend of mine I'm in charge of luest cwm bach in the elan valley amazing bothy and a short walk in if you fancy anymore volunteering we are at cae amos bothy in March to replace the roof all food provided mate all the best 👍
Beautiful countryside, amazing little bothy, made some new friends... what more could you ask for?? Absolutely LOVE your adventures! Cheers from Mississippi, USA! -Mike
Great vid. Good to see the old place being looked after. Plenty of memories sleeping in there. First time back in the early 80's. Drove up there with my mates in a mk1 Escort😅 Those were the days😊
What's the only thing better then going out camping by yourself, camping with friends or people that become good friends. Awesome video with beautiful scenery good sir, well done.

Steve Dowling stoves are excellent. We live in Cambrian Mountains in a 450 year old stone house and in order to heat the place we bought a large wood burner from Dowling Stoves 20 years ago, it has never failed us. Can't recommend them highly enough. Great vid. Good to see you back in beautiful Wales.
