- Le Meridien Bangkok is a fantastic hotel, particularly if you are an elite (platinum, Titanium or Ambassador) member! It is priced well, offers great elite benefits and the staff are amazing!
I received a complimentary upgrade to a lovely suite that had 2 rain showers and 2 wall mounted showers as well as a bathtub!
The club lounge team were amazing and I also like the hotel facilities like the swimming pool and fitness centre/gym.
I definitely recommend a stay!

I’ll probably stay here instead of Westin on my next visit due to budget. What should I expect when comparing the 2? (I loved your westin recommendation last time, and perfectly happy with that due to quality lounge food, full breakfast and amazing location)
Hello! Thank you for your kind comment! So, if it is a relatively short stay then this hotel will be just as good as the Westin - especially if you are an elite member, Platinum or above. The breakfast at the main restaurant will be charged as an extra but you will receive complimentary breakfast in the lounge if you are a Platinum elite member or higher or are staying in a qualifying room like a suite. The swimming pool and pool area are fantastic. Dip in and get the power jet hydro massage! The lounge is fantastic and if you are having breakfast at the lounge and want something specific then just contact them either in advance via the app or as soon as you check in. The app usually has a "chat with us" function pop up around 48 hours before your arrival date. Also, as a Platinum or above member, you can choose a welcome gift of points or laundry service. I chose laundry as I find this convenient! But a nice touch!
The only thing I don't like is the area! There are a few restaurants and massage shops nearby and the famous red light area but I don't really go to this and so like the Westin more so that i can visit more touristy bars and the Asok area generally has a far better vibe. This is why I say a short stay is okay :) Also, remember, the Chinese new year is approaching and so booking early may get a good deal! I will be at the Sheraton Grande from Wednesday until 17 Feb and i know this hotel will be busy!

@@loveflyingandhotels never mind … as I’m on a budget the savings I can have at the le meridien vs Westin is still worth while for me. I’m titanium now thanks to my stay at the Westin last month, so I’ll still have lounge access.
@@somemale That's great! Congrats! Hopefully you get upgraded to a suite! Did you meet Robert, the GM at the Westin? He usually pops into the lounge in the evenings to say hello. Both Westin and Sheraton Grande offer the breakfast at the main restaurant to elites!

I will assume that he holds platinum, elite status or higher_. in that instance.” Atheneum wins hands down but Le Meridien is also an excellent choice, but I’m not too keen on the location, but the price is significantly lower and the benefits are very similar. I won’t stay at the Renaisance again. These other two hotels are significantly better and Le Meridien is in the same price bracket as the Renaisance but offers better value for money and facilities.

Yes and no. This hotel has a fantastic lounge, swimming pool, rooms and has just been renovated. I thought the nightlife was a little limited and focused more around the gay community. So not for me. FP is usually about $50 per night cheaper but they don’t have an exec ?club lounge. But they will give you some drinks vouchers. FP is located right in the heart of the nightlife scene and you can always use the $50 you save on the room rate and use it towards your food & Bev costs. FP also has a nice pool but the force of water flow. In the shower is low unless you use the handheld shower. Overall, I would stay FP especially if you are hopping to another hotel like Sheraton Grande as close by and within walking distance.

I sincerely hope you enjoy it, and if you need to make any special requests for example, dietary or room type, then approximately two days before your arrival date, you can check in using the mobile app which has a function called chat with us and you can use this to make any requests. Feel free to let me know how your day goes

Hello! Yes late check out is 4pm but I had to be somewhere so I said I’ll check out at 1pm but I actually ended up leaving at 10 as the room was ready at my next hotel. Really nice hotel! Yes, no b/fast option on welcome gift but what I find is that, especially if you are a titanium member, is if you want something specific, which you don’t see in the lounge for breakfast, if you contact them in advance, they are always happy to provide whatever you want and they bring it up to the lounge! I know this is not quite the same as heating in the main restaurant, but it does help if you are looking for something specific! 😀

If I visit the hotel again soon, then I will try and find out and let you know, but this might take some time as I don’t have any plans to revisit the hotel in the next 12 months.. good luck with your internship 😀
