Im going to bangkok soon. Having a hard time choosing the W or the Le Meredien. Which one is better?

Why does the hotel not allow mangosteen? It does not smell as bad as durian.

Crazy, right? The only thing I can guess is the rind (shell) might stain the carpets easily and get messy
