They have made a really nice product. It looks great. Those blue knobs. It would be nice if you could save experimentations as wav/mp3 files as you are tweaking (maybe you can?) It's limitations are interesting. 100MB. That is Casio style. It would be nice to be able to make a song on it without going to a computer. Maybe for the future ? Well done WoFi for getting it out of the door - it must have been a lot of work.
I own many synthesizers. Im not very knowledgeable on samplers, however. I only have a Casio Sk1, a Yamaha VSS30, and a Teenage Engineering KOII. Pretty limated stuff but very fun nonetheless. The cutoff wheel actually seems pretty cool to me. Seems like you can really dial in a nice tone rather than a knob that just twists once. If you want snappy sweeps, youve got the envelope and the LFO. The built-in mic is a perfect feature for this. I also like that it has a speaker. Just like the good old SK1 and VSS30. A must have for messing around with it on the couch or whereever. I like the different lofi playback modes A LOT. Nice decision there. 10 note polyphony is nice. The whole cloud thing seems very cool in theory, as long as it's easy to use. Couple of things I dont like. As I mentioned, im not super knowledgeable on samplers, but 100MB storage seems really low. Why not just use an SD card?? That seems like the most common sense thing to do. The price. I was expecting to see 300 - 400. Maybe that was just me being hopeful. I dont know if I could justify spending 850, especially after buying Hydrasynth Explorer for much less. I think it was 599. No, it's not a sampler, but it's a BEAST of a digital synthesizer. At the end of the day, I have no idea what it takes to design, build, and manufacture these pieces of equipment in mass quantity. The price may be totally justified. I can only stand in my own shoes as a consumer and compare this price to the other products that I own. If they substantially lower the price, I'd like to have a Wofi. I think the Wofi is really cool. I wish the creators the absolute best.
Would love to have this but too expensive. Even at the kickstarter price i couldnt bring myself to spend that much on it. Eventually i may save up for one, little by little. I hope they continue to update it and add in a reverb.
Lots of questions: played with an external controller, what is the range of pitch transposition for the samples? Only one sample per keyboard layout/voice? Samples can be transferred via USB as well as the proprietary card? Rek I should visit the website. Thanks for the vid.
There are some stuff in it that makes little sense, other than for hipsters. Cartdrige? Seriously? A filter that needs multiple turns? Only one lfo with limited wave forms? Other than that... it should be sold at 500 tops
@@DECIMA1 Man that sucks! 600 was exactly how much i'd pay for it, and I only recently had a birthday and got enough to add into my synth savings jar - i would have immediately pulled the trigger on this, but the kickstarter ended last month!
Looks really fun. But price needs to come down. Remind me in a year about this synth. edit: After reading others comments, yeah I agree on $600 would be a fair price. Not the $800+, that puts it in AKAI MPC KEY 37 territory, and there it looses badly. Still very interested in this synth. And I will come back to it in a year. If I don’t just buy a KEY 37. That’s the issue. Sure they not the same, for different people, I get that. But my budget for music toys is also not unlimited.. so.. win some, loose some. Still very interesting synth, version 2.0 of this one will be a killer. They really onto something here, so much is clear
800 Euro? 16-Step sequencer? LOL🤣😂 198 Euro = Roland Compact P-6 with granular and 64 Step sequencer.... You better put your price down to 500 ,600 if you hope to sell a few...🤔🤑😂🤣🤣😂

Comes with Disney+.
lol
That looks really good. Great video.
Great review man. This is a super cool piece of gear.
Would've preferred a sd card slot but a very nice portable synth/sampler. Definitely one to consider for a backpack setup.
Nice! It’s everything i want my Korg microsampler to be. Improved functionality, parameters and data management. I’ll be looking out for this one.

Interesting synth

I’m sayin but it’s made in France add 500
@@Tripwelleverdayoh la la.
Can u assign the lfo to most functions, such as amplitude?
Yes you can assign the LFO to most functions including the amp
What's the price gonna be?
I think it's around US $850.00 it was on Kickstarter for cheaper tho

Looks like the business.
5:34 Astro boy intro
10 voices. 24 keys... huh??
This thing seems so cool and fun! I just wish it wasn’t so ugly.
Wofi or Chompi?
I have not used the Chompi but the Wofi seems more versatile but it's larger
Thanks for the reply. One last question, can you stack different instruments / presets like overdub or multitrack record on the Wofi?
No mutli track recording or stacking but what you could do is resample a preset/sample and play that back
Meh. Can't even look at their website without them forcing cookies down your throat. No thanks. They'll be $400 on Reverb in a year.
If I bought a pcm based synth again this is route I’d go I just worry about the cloud thing it’s a lil worrisome
Sounds digital, ick, 🤮
