First comment in almost a decade. The original WLIA with Clive Anderson, Greg Proops, Paul Merton, Ryan Stiles, Mike McShane, Josey Lawrence, Richard Vranch et all, was AMAZING.
A couple of good friends enjoying each other company in public. I forgot just how great Gregg is, he has always been a match for Clive. And Clive loves that.
I didn't think Clive & Greg's relationship could any more hilarious than what I;ve seen from Whose Line, but I stand gleefully corrected. They both seem to be having so much fun dissing each other, and keeping such engaging and straight faces no matter how silly they get. That's one of the things I really miss about Greg in the US version (even though I'm more familiar with the US version and love Ryan and Colin) - you don't see so much of Greg's silly looks at the camera and quick-fire banter.
For those who don't know. The voice for the Beed side of the two-headed announcer Fode and Beed in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, with Scott Capurro providing the voice for Fode.
I watched this interview when it was on TV and this bit here where Greg does this thing with his fingers 07:56, I used to think about that all the time. I actually thought he did "air quotes" (so with 2 fingers on each hand), and I would do it whenever someone said my name.
@1:18 Drew Carey hosts that one and he's a little different than you he's very gentle. For those who have never seen the American version of Whose Line. Drew every once and awhile tried to mimic Clive and got burned by Greg for it.
This is an old interview.... but shit... I think I have just fallen inlove with Greg... pro tip guys who is on the dating scene... maybe Greg is not the best example because he is sharp funny and attractive BUT I promise you if you can make a girl laugh... 95% of the hard work is done... the other 5% is just you NOT screwing things up. Thank me later❤
aha not to bring up an old comment, but greg/clive banters are the best. they've been doing it since 1989 on the UK whose line. it's not hostility, it's memories! haha :P
I can't believe the superficial muck I was spewing back then one year ago, in my salad days! What I should have said was Greg is wrong about the puritans being dim , They were the most ardently antislavery to the point that many were murdered... Well, for that and refusing to fight in the Revolution . Actually, they might've been the MOST progressive
im always sad, so many great american comedians shamed by us british- when actually they're AMAZING off of american censorship the whose line guys are funny, but holy hell are they even funnier when they're not restrained
"Is this a secret I'm not supposed to know?" "Well no, there's a sequel, I think everyone in the world knows that..." Lol, Greg misheard him and thought he said sequel :D
it was a mistake to bring 'whose line' to america. the censorship in america is terrible and made the show not as exciting. they got carried away with the audience participation. i tune in to watch the improv comedians, not some unfunny audience members who weren't expecting to be on tv. i'm sure if it stayed in britain, there wouldn't have been a several-year hiatus and it would still be worlds funnier than it is today.
Greg Proops is one of those rare comedians who straddles the divide between American and British humour with ease and that's why I love him.
I could not agree more. I actually prefer Greg on the UK version. Hell I may prefer the British version in general.
Another one who does this is Tom Stade
I’m confused, should I read your comment in a British accent or not

I always enjoyed the humour that these two shared with each other.
There's a lot of love under all those insults.
Give these two a late night show and I will watch it forever.
I could listen to their banter all day.
The comedic chemistry these guys have together is great!
I love Greg.
a budding bromance since s2 e1 of Whose Line Is it Anyway? UK Series
these 2 are legends,i really miss the old "who's line" shows, pure comedy gold.
It was my favourite tv show growing up! Hilarious! Ryan and Colin were the best 😊
@@emeralduk20 They're all on UA-cam, I've spent the last week on them 😄
My god, they are so sharp and fast! Both showed non-stop intelligence and wit for 8:38 minutes straight. I wannabe like them.
CLIVE IS AWESOME! And Greg/Clive bromance is the hit~
They’re so great together :)

Oh I dont care which universe youre from thats gotta hurt!!!!
I remember watching the movie on opening night and thinking "That sounds like Greg Proops!"@@scottythegreat1 That line verified it for me!
@@mangrove I remember seeing this movie for the first time and never putting the two together until I heard that line.
Fantastic.
Greg and Clive are freaking hilarious!
i love the relationship between clive and gregg so funny
i love how clive says "improv-EYE-sation progrums"
Greg is hilarious. Easily all time top 5 of whose line.

and wear those belt buckles with their names upside down and say "damn, that's my name!"
That was awesome and hilarious. Thank you.
I'm here because I am a HUGE fan of him in the Nightmare Before Christmas!
Jadensvideos wait what? He was in that movie?
@@sarahkinsey5434 he was?????
Yep, and he still does reunions for the movie.@@sarahkinsey5434
No problem. Anything with Clive and Greg together is a pleasure to post
@Gojiralee Episode I, he was the two-headed announcer in the pod-race scene
LOLOLOLOL , hahahaha Greg's scream, made me piss my pants. ;3
I used to rule this world when it was underwater!!
Haha, I think Greg was stumped at 7.40! These two are so funny together!

Omg, I love these things..
Holy crap, I don't think I've ever been more dizzy during credits in my life. Is the directorjust saying "Everybody zoom and pan as much as you can!",

Greg is also very bright.
Greg!!!!!!!
That was probably at the Apex of proopdoggs marketability judging by his overall congenial appearance.

He may be bold, but a legend none the less
1:59 LOL
I both love and dislike Greg Proops. He can be so reliably funny and the next second so simple and common in his mockery.
That was great, lot of history with those two. Gregg used to do a lot of coke.
i would hate to be the cameraman that has to be watching Clive all the time.....
lol how in the WORLD did clive anderson get his own show? o.o im confoozled
Yeah, I had it up (twas my file) but youtube deleted my account :/
Will Smith and Greg Proops? What a lineup.

"... drinking weak beer..." LOL
how come, what's he done? I haven't heard of him
im always sad, so many great american comedians shamed by us british- when actually they're AMAZING off of american censorship
the whose line guys are funny, but holy hell are they even funnier when they're not restrained
americans don't usually emphasize the middle syllable of that word
How else would you say it?
"Is this a secret I'm not supposed to know?"
"Well no, there's a sequel, I think everyone in the world knows that..."
Lol, Greg misheard him and thought he said sequel :D
what did he actually say
Baseball = hot dogs not hamburgers but the rest was SO good!!!
XXDD I love your username
Oh okay...hmm I never really thought of saying it any other way...
Pro-gram. two short syllables with the short "a" sound
How does Clive not have a neck!!!
@MrTommYYZ And Clive used to sit back and watch, going, "Fucking hell, he's gonna look like a powdered donut at this rate."
is this what the buck?
1:30 Ryan Stiles talks about the politically correct culture years before its manifestion.
lol i suppose he did
i find all these american remakes so anyoing
