I think this is the best demonstration video, with beautiful woman riding up hills which would challenge any normal bike in a distinctive city. Thanks for confirming that VanMoof are good on hills.
Ok, the VanMoof is sleek. But what are the battery ranges at various support levels? Can it recuperate electricity as you go downhill again? And I understand that the battery is somehow integrated into the frame (I may have misunderstood this). So do you always have to take the whole bike to the socket for charging? What happens if the battery deteriorates after several hundred charging cycles?
The bike has a range of about 100 km, but it hasn't regenerative braking, the battery is in the frame and therefore the whole bike connects to the charger but it can be dismounted for repair purposes.
"Beautiful" and if you say so, it's also the most expensive so yeah, beauty is in the eye of the beholder really.. I consider my City the Most beautiful actually, San Diego!
Did you know You don't really need an electric bike, all You need is decent bicycle and off You go. I use bike every day in London and outside of it. Cycling is good.
Thank you for your comment, I was thinking the same thing. Doing a few hills in London everyday, it is always a great feeling to smash the hill up and just ease down. :)
I commute in a Gas powered bicycle, it gets me to work in 8miles under 20minutes, cost me close to nothing but upgrades did chunk some of my paychecks, but I love my Motorcycle looking bicycle, plus I save gas more than any hybrid Prius, I get 120mpg, 1 gallon last me a 8 days, just pay for oil and 91 gas. So it cost me 6-7$ a week, apart from when I owned a car I would pay close to 600$ a month. Yeah everyone needs a bike, either electric or Gas powered.
Still a lot less lazy than driving a car. And if you need to arrive somewhere without sweating like an ox and panting, you couldn't use a regular bike for a hillscape.
Fair point 👍, i admit they do have a place in the market for them and if i'm honest i rode a friends electric KTM push bike and quite liked it. 25mph uphill on grass while sat down was a doddle!
@@reginaldpeters5142 true....sod it, i'm gona retract my inital comment and embrace the e bike for what it is. I may even purchase one myself and start setting some records at my local cycling club

This woman is wearing a helmet unlike the NYC ganster. Hope this is more to your liking 😉

The 13th biggest city in the US is a "relativity small city"? wtf lol
800,000 inhabitants, that's nearly nothing so I agree it is a small city

San Francisco's city limits are confined to a small tip of a narrow peninsula. Rest of the Bay Area is mostly endless sprawl.
you must not be from SF. yes SF is small
