I can attest to the Scuba Pro Go’s they are fantastic if you travel and better than my old Twin Jet Max Split Fins, to say they are only a Snorkel fin is not correct. I use them for Deep, Tech Diving warm and cold water with varying thickness of socks. They are great in the current too.
If you are trying on a set of fins, should your heel be sticking out a bit compared to the bottom of the fins, or should be bottom of the fins (below your heel) extend beyond your heels?
I have 3 sets of Jet fin and one Seawing nova gorrila... 2 of Jef fins are for wetsuit and remaining jet fin and Seawing nova gorrila for dryshuit. So two sets each for Wet suit diving and drysuit just because of size of boots
@@cheethenglee 3 years later I know. These are two completely different fins, so it’s hard to compare. I will say, every dive guide I dive with has traditional longer fins. In fact, quite a few have had free dive fins - much longer. I love my mares avanti quattro fins. Has your opinion changed over the years?
Scubapro Go Travel for muck macro photography diving here in Indonesia and use the Avanti Quattro for open blue water trips. keep up the good work simply scuba.
I used the scubapro gorilla fins for the longest time then i just got the apeks rk3 fins when i saw the girlsthatscuba article saying they came in pink. Called my shop and ordered them the same day. 🙂 Happy diving
@@1997LT1Camaro the scubapro is a little more stiff material. But rly i dont notice a difference with performance once in the water. They are both quite good fins 🙂
I have some RK3 fins and I've used them on maybe 15-20 dives but I'm thinking of swapping. They're the best fins I've owned for maneuvering, turning and agility.... sadly they're the worst fins I've owned for fighting currents, shifting descent locations and going long distances to get back to the boat. You find yourself really having to fin hard to move quickly.
Maybe you could try the HD version of the RK3, they are exactly the same but a little bit heavier and a little bit stiffer. I switched from Seawing Novas to RK3 HD and I absolutely don't regret my choice.
That was super basic. Oh ps It’s not a hole for hanging the fin gosh learn your products.... I use aqualung slingshots there noticeably better than others I have but I’d like to try the Scubapro nova2..that’s one I haven’t got. I like split fins for cruising effortlessly but the vortex that you push against gets washed away in a current so I only use them in quarry’s. in a current or if you fin harder they are useless. I have owned most types I like force fins but rarely use them if I have my slingshots with me..ohh 200 dives in them always used aftermarket springs that lasted fine but the rubber bands were dying & there wearing at clip points to heel strap.almost as many dives & owned the force fins (ducks feet type) are on original strap & are scratched up but can’t be broken as no moving parts...
Mares Powerplana fins for me while in the UK a nice tough and durable fin..When diving abroad I use Tusa Hyflex Switch.

Did you say at 3:09 " ..that much easier to put them on and on.."?? So good!!
I still dive with my first Jet Fins...bought them in 1986 😀
Love this guy. "Makes them better to put on and on". My kind of guy! 😍
Myself stuck with Tusa hyflex switch, really nice feature to take them apart for travel.
Scubapro twin jet, very similar to a jet fin but much softer rubber for more comfort

I am a snorkeler and cressi reaction fins and for traveling abroad i use cressi Palau adjustable strap fins.
My favorite is the Apollo bio split fins with spring straps
I can't decide between the mares avanti quattro or the apeks rk3 for my first pair of fins. What should i get?
What did you choose ? Same here
@@fadi9340 ii Chose the rk3 and I don't regret it!
Having the same dilemma now. I'll get the RK3!

How do you like apeks rk3 vs the gorillas 🦍? I am considering these two fins. Im an athletic guy 240 lbs

@@Lionheart2323 Thanks! I do drift diving in Cozumel and figured gorillas 🦍 would be good for those type of conditions.
@@1997LT1Camaro they are great for drift diving
mares avanti look very similar to lets say seac pros, anyone who tested these two ? how they differ etc ?
would you recommend dual composite vented fins
that loop/hole on the tip is not for hanging. it is a design feature to reduce turbulence
I’ll pick the sea wing nova any day!
Apeks RK3’s or aqualung x-shot deepening on the dive I’m going on
I also have the RK3s. i got orange like in the video
I use Hollys F2 which in my opinion are the best finds you can get.
Cressi reaction are my go to
Same here. They're built to last and good performance for various finning styles.
I rock the force fin pros and I really enjoy them, a little on the expensive side but well worth it
Aqua Lung Express ADJ. One love.

Jetfins vs nova gorilla?
I have Apeks RK3 and Scubapro Go Travel Fins.
Deep six eddy fins the best fin around, shame you dont stock deep 6 gear.
Actually, no shop sells Deep 6 products. The only way to buy is through their website. Great service btw.
Scubapro Twinjet Max, every thing else gives me muscel cramps
I have those, and like them for some things, but frankly they suck if you have any current at all the deal with.
@@mrstihl16 Yea, changed them myself. Now I have Mares Volopower, pure excellence
i like the aqualung express adj and the apeks rk3
You should add Scuba Pro price at time of video release, to add to comparison
Seawing novas are king!
I have atomics split fin
My tusa switch fins are great
The go travel has my attention
What about force fins? Many say they are the best)
Aqua bionic Warp 1
OMS Slipstream
