It’s hard to compare IDP scoring cause it’s so varying from league to league, love seeing the content!! For me my league favored LB, foye was scoring 500+ a season, so he was my second pick in the draft lol
For sure. Scoring is so wildly different from league to league that it makes it difficult, I agree. Foye would definitely be a beast in that tackle heavy level of scoring (he’s LB1 for me again this year)
Sadly, I believe ESPN is one of the platforms behind on customizable IDP scoring. Last I checked, they treat all defensive positions the same when setting up tackles, etc. 😔
@MrMmitsch yeah it’s a bummer. Hopefully more sites catch up and allow custom IDP scoring like we have for offense, just makes more sense and would be an easy fix on their end. MFL is the best for IDP and customization in my opinion but comes with an annual cost unfortunately.
Granderson more in the ED3/4 range for me this year. Expecting some regression this season in terms of tackle production and potentially ceding some snaps to Chase Young, Payton Turner as well. Still expect him to be usable though
I just did an IDP startup with big play(Big 3) scoring. I took Nick Bosa, Josh Allen, and Myles Garret in the 5th, 6th, 7th rounds. Other DL players went in this range too like Parsons, Hutch, Will Anderson, Crosby, and Watt. I felt like they just kept falling to me. Do you think that was a good strategy or should I have kept building my offense? Edit: start 11 on both sides of the ball including start 3 DL.
I think for big play scoring you definitely want at least one of those guys, potentially more, so I don’t mind that strategy at all. I typically mix in some offense in that range but with all those guys coming off the board pretty early I like you jumping in there to lock up the position. I would definitely go offense heavy for a bit now because you are set at DL long-term which is great. Can fade LB and DB (more replaceable) to make up ground on offense. Good stuff!
@@PFFFantasyPodcast That’s where I went with it thanks to your info! Lots of people started taking LB’s in that range and high end DB’s. I faded QB and ended up with Goff, Baker, Wilson, AOC, and Penix. Offensive starters: Jefferson, Nacua, Gibbs, Stevenson, Friermuth, Otton, Ridley, BTJ, Zamir White. Feeling pretty good about it.
I'd think giving up both of those guys could land you a top tier LB potentially. Foye, Roquan, Zaire, Singleton, Ernest Jones, TJ Edwards are my 2024 Tier 1 LBs. For dynasty, Roquan, Warner, Foye, Bolton, TJE, Ernest Jones are all in that same range that I'd be aiming for in a 2for1 like that. If not, you might be better just holding
Understandable. Each and every year there are new players who get into that range that weren’t there before though. Jermaine Johnson is my favorite pick to do so this year. Who’s yours?
Ehh, I guess I’ll disagree with that. Feels appropriately ranked for me at ED25/DL32. He had a great year last year but was an overachiever, taking into account his expected sacks and prsh metrics - which again, much more reliable than actual sacks - and he finished as DL27 in this scoring. Going to a new team, expecting even slight natural regression in production and playing time, and I think where he is will be fine with me.
First time watching one of your videos and you absolutely nailed the intro. Loved the 16-bit visuals and audio. Very unique approach.
Much appreciated my friend! Hopefully you’ll be back again! 🍻

Do you know if this scoring is possible in espn? I want to suggest to my commish but idk if you can have tackle scoring custom for each position

@@PFFFantasyPodcast ah dang my one dynasty league that’s still on espn is the one with idp. I really like this scoring compared to what we have

I picked up Carl Granderson midseason las year (who was fairly consistent) bc I couldn’t rely on Brian Burns. Where would Grandson rank this year?

@skipperv7884 love it! Nice job!
Do you like Rashan Gary or Karlaftis? In a dynasty league
I have Gary over Karlaftis right now. ED18 vs ED24 for me.
@@PFFFantasyPodcast what kind of LB could I get in a trade if I added Jordyn Brooks to him?

@PFFFantasyPodcast it is a dynasty league, and I got the deal done for Zaire
Did not expect Jermaine to be up that high

@@PFFFantasyPodcastI’d also probably choose Jermaine. But other than him I’d say Bryce Huff or Rashan Gary
Solid choices as well. Gary is closest for me. Huff will probably have to do it with a ton of sacks but he’s at least capable.
Greenard a bit too low

@@PFFFantasyPodcastoh ok that makes sense he finished DE17 in my scoring and missed a couple games. Probably why I’m higher on him
