As a die-hard Beatle fan, you guys got every last tidbit. The vigil outside of the Dakota was a remarkable thing, so bittersweet to see such union. Millennials and Gen Z have lost the gravity of death and grief due to social media desensitizing them. Lennon's death was very similar to Princess Diana's in that they both had finally found their true identities. All things must pass.
I'm Gen X but I can assure you it's not just social media, people of John Lennon's caliber just don't exist anymore so celebrity deaths aren't nearly as impactful now, not to mention that Lennon's death was also notable for being a tragic and sudden murder which is rare. Michael Jackson's death was the last major one and it did resonate with millions of people worldwide despite the social media being around for many years at that point. There's also the fact that the world's population now doubled since 1980 which effectively devalued human life that much more.
Interestingly done. You did not discuss the rumored missing months Chapman was unaccountable for, Mind Control possible. Which is the common conspiracy theory. Glad you spoke highly of Yoko , it's disgusting people blame Yoko for the Beatles break up, that's idiocy people will believe anything. I kind of like a song by Yoko, one. Now this is important! You mentioned a listeners comment. EBS, there are variations of it. It's rare and genetic and few people has ever even heard of it. And for mentioning it. Every person I talk to will be told to subscribe to your podcast channel. Maybe one day there will be an effective cure for EBS. Stay Cool Prof. S. Scott
