Hello, I just saw you video in October 2024 and I just started making cards and I love your videos and love how you explain what and how to do it. When I feel that I am a little bit better I will show you lol Please never stop. I just love how you go about everything,
Another wonderful OSW and process video. I'm sure the kids who receive these cards will display them with pride and treasure them for a long time. You've shown they are special.
Merry Christmas! Jess, I love that your videos don't feel like a commercial. I have a lot, and I want to use what I have. Thank you for creating content for people like me!
Yay! Super excited!! Thanks for all your hard work!!have a wonderful holiday!! Also, you totally need an affiliate link with tape jungle, I usually buy half a case at a time, but because I broke a 12x12 paper pad down to 6x6 and used your first 10 OSW with it, I’ve gone through that!! Just saying!! 😉😉😆😁😄😃😀.
Somehow I missed this video. Glad I found it. I love the cards you created. Such nice positivity for children. Thanks for sharing your card templates. I will download them. Keep up the great job. 💐💯💞🤗
You are absolutely brilliant! This is great to utilize the whole page.... AND you provided the templates with the cuts. very generous. Cant wait to see more of your work. ❤❤❤
I also meant to say that you have really helped me be more organized...I make about 250 cards 5 times a year for local nursing homes, memory care, and assisted living homes...and I can tell you that you have shown me how to be organized, TY
Thank you Jess for sharing your ideas and your cards with the various organizations you donate to. I want to do the same, God knows I have the paper to do it. Lol 😆
Love Simple Stories for scrapbooking and cards. TFS your talents in making these sketches for your viewers as they are extremely helpful when your crafting mojo is stalled. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I look forward to all the craftiness in 2021.
WOW super cute cards 😻 I love your 12×12 one sheet wonder layout, the images and the pattern papers ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful new year to you and your family 🎄🎅
I think I have that paper, nice cards. I'm going to have to check out the templates, I always have so many scraps. I dont know how you and Kristy do it.
Hey, Jess! This was a great video. You gave specific advice on tips. This will be so helpful. And I like your idea of finding other shapes besides squares and rectangles. This template is going to be very popular with me! Merry Christmas, Jess!!🎄☃️🍗🎁🎀🛍🎶
They cards are absolutely beautiful like always thank you so much for sharing also looking forward for the atg video mine unfortunately is giving me hard time every time I upload the roll of tape everything look perfect but when I try to use it in the paper rip the paper and keep rolling into it self I don’t know please help I love using my atg but is been a wile it seen I can make it work I follow videos here on UA-cam but nothing work thank you happy holidays stay safe and bless xoxo
For triangles and mats. Cut the mat as a rectangle 1/4 or 1/2” larger than the original rectangle. Then cut in half from opposite corners, your mat should work. For instance 3x4 rectangle for top piece, 3.5x4.5 for the mat piece. Cut both in half from corner to opposite corner. That should work.
Thanks for sharing. That's what I did here and it resulted in an imperfect match that needed to be trimmed. It works but could be better so I'm going to try some other options to see if I can come up with a better solution.
This is another great video, Jess. Your sketches and your cards are awesome. I really enjoy following you. BTW, I don’t use an ATG because it’s too big and bulky for me (arthritis and carpal tunnel issues).
Appreciate all of the ideas and inspiration with your templates. Look forward to playing. Also for the ATG questions/issues, I'm fine with loading the tape, but can't get the tape to adhere to the paper. Also, how do you keep it from hurting your hand? It's so big and heavy, I find it hard to use. Look forward to your ATG video - Thanks!! :)
If you cut a rectangular piece of pattern paper; then cut the slightly larger mat for that rectangular piece of pattern paper (but cheat the edges to be a bit larger than what you would normally cut); then cut the patterned paper and the matting paper along the diagonal, then you should have a mat that will work for the triangular piece that is created. You need to cheat the mat edges larger, so that you will have the matting along the hypotenuse, as you have to move the triangular patterned piece closer to the outside corner. So if you usually have a 1/8th mat which is a 1/4th inch larger rectangle on the two dimensions, then cheat it to 3/8ths instead of 1/4th. You should then end up with approximately 1/8th or 3/16ths on the mat when you cut the rectangular pieces. I hope that makes sense. 1/8th is 2/16ths so it should be pretty close.
I wasn't sure if use them much in the past but I have some ideas brewing that I think will benefit and so I finally ordered them this morning. Looking forward to giving it a try.
My ATG issue is just that the adhesive is just unforgiving, and I am not good at putting things down precisely on the first try. I end up mostly using it to construct envelopes.

Thank you for the feedback I will note it for the upcoming video!

You might find it easier to mat triangles using WRMK layer guides to cut your diagonals with a craft knife.
I wasn't sure if use them much in the past but I have some ideas brewing that I think will benefit and so I finally ordered them this morning. Looking forward to giving it a try.
💖👋✉👋💖 FUN!

Candy do you know about undo? It won’t resign your project and the adhesive is still sticky when the paper is dry.
❤️❤️❤️😊
To get the triangle to mat with no trimming, the rectangles should be similar. I am a geometry teacher.
