- Hello and thanks for watching!
Today I'm sharing how I made some gift bags to use up some of the full page size images that came in my Hope and Faith pad by Craftsmart. I got the idea for how I made my bags from Sam @MixedUpCraft in this video: • 12" x 12" x 6" Huge Gi...

Thanks I made one and I'm going to use for my big 12 x 12 pictures. I'm glad I found your channel
That’s great! I’m glad you gave it a try!
Love this! I have 3 of those paper pads. I've made tons of cards but all the full sheets are still in the pad. Thank you for the idea!!
Those full page designs are hard to use. Glad I could give you an idea on what to do with them!
Very beautiful!
Thank you!
Merci pour la vidéo. Super rendu 👍
Thank you!💕
These are glorious! That's always been my complaint about most gift bag projects, they are too small. This gives more size assortments. Love it. Thank you for sharing.😷
Yes, these give you more room AND use up some of those pages you might not normally use!
WOW! You have Christmas cards under control. Love how you combined patterned papers in your designs.
Thank you, Mary! I have lots of cards to donate now.
The bags are beautiful! Thank you for teaching aand sharing! Liz x🇨🇦just subscribed to your Channel...
Thanks so much! 😊
Very nice
Thank you, Susan!
This is great! I never know what to do with those paper’s. Thanks for sharing. 😊
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!
Samantha Calcott is Mixed Up crafts. If you’re looking to use up paper, she makes 6x6 and 5x7 cards. She is very talented as are you! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Melissa!
Love the bags, Beth. I've done this before too, but a little bit differently. Yours turned out great. Sam is awesome! TFS
Thanks, Deb!
Great use for those papers. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I’m glad to have a new way to use these patterns!
Horray and three cheers to you for this!!so perfect, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this!!
Thank you!!!
I’ve been making these bags for a few years now (LOVE THEM), and I was interested to see your modifications to Sam’s process. Punching the holes before bag assembly is the most helpful. I’ve also found folding the side tabs in before removing the release tape makes that process much easier too. I had problems with the knotted ribbon pulling through the holes when the bag is filled, which I fixed by stapling a folding square of coordinating paper to the ends. Thanks for sharing your take on this project, Beth! You can kill a pattern paper book in no time making these, and they are very sturdy and useful.
Thank you for those tips! I’ll have to remember those for next time!
Love the bags! Sam does wonderful things with paper. I have made several of her cards. Her easel cards are fun. She has several that come together quickly so they may be another option when you are using up your paper. Thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you! She does have some great projects!
Love this idea. I will definitely be making these. I like that they fold flat too.
Yes! Thank you!
The bags look fantastic. I shall be trying this today. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy trying them!
Thanks for the detailed instructions. I will be making several of these bags. I finally used part of this pad for Christmas cards and am determined to finish the pad. I did use some of the 2x2 cut-apart squares on slimline cards. 3 coordinating squares spaced across the front of the card.
Your slimline design is a great use for those cutaparts!
I'm a new subscriber. I love this idea! I have just recently started buying 12x12 and 6x6 paper pads for cardmaking, and I was thinking about framing a few to hang because they are just gorgeous. However, as you said, you can't possibly frame them all. So, I have been searching for videos on ideas to use these pages. This video popped up in my list of suggested videos, and I had to watch it right away. This is by far the best idea for using these pages that I have seen yet. Thank you for your easy to follow, step by step instructions. You made me feel like I might actually be able to do this. Plus, I LOVE gift bags...so it's a win win! :-)
Welcome! Thanks for joining me! I'm glad you like this idea. For some reason I was afraid to try these for a long time. But they really aren't hard at all! You can totally do it!
@@BourbonCreekCrafts You're very welcome! And thank you so much for the vote of confidence. :) ♡
I have the same paper pad and made bags with it too. I cut up the back cover of the pad to add a loose bottom on the inside to make the bottom sturdier.
That’s a good idea for reinforcement!
Beautiful gift bag 🥰 I love it, Sam makes a lot of gift bags ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Thank you! Sam has a lot of great projects!
Love your bags great way to use up those sheets I have this pad and will be following your tutorial tfs hugs
Thanks! I’m glad you got another idea to try for your pad!
amazing idea!
Thank you!
Love your lg bags and tags. Thanks for breaking down the process. I have been intimidated by these for a long time too. Thank you for sharing your measurements/knowledge in your blog post. The "scrapbook with me" ladies run a bead of wet glue along their score tape to get both the wiggle room and the quick set. Also, am thinking an additional layer of cardstock along the top edges would reinforce the eyelets. This might be a great project for the crafting mood I am in, and to use some pretty paper I will never put to use any other way. LOL... "Now my brain is not working" when that happens to me, my excuse is "I lost all my words".
Yes, you could definitely reinforce the top where the eyelets are and even the bottom with a loose piece of chipboard. I hope you do give it a try!
Look, set yourself a script because I’m fast forwarding every 10 seconds. I’m sorry as this could’ve been a really useful tutorial. 🙄
Sorry you didn’t enjoy it.
