RIP John Mayall. Greatest British Bluesman of all time IMAO. Now you're up in Blues heaven with the rest of your contemporaries... Peter Green, Alexis Korner, Graham Bond etc
He never received the acclaim and awards others did, though he deserved it. Still, he left his influence on music and on the hearts of millions. Thank you, John. ❤

John Mayall was the most amazing combination of genius and talent, authenticity, and humility. He is effortlessly so damn cool. 🙏🏽✌🏽💙 from Minnesota, USA

Back in 1980, some friends and I went to see Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon at the Roxy in Hollywood. We didn't know we were sitting next to John Mayall until they called him onstage to play his harp. Great time!

RIP saw him at Alfred University in 1970. Harvey Mandel was his guitarist then. Later saw him in the 1990s. Amazing. All the musicians he influenced and had in his bands.

I wish I could remember whether I saw him in Boston or Fillmore East, probably '68 or '69. I was down and off to his right (my left) fairly close to the stage. I know I've got the album up on a shelf -- nothing to play it with -- and all the album covers got rotted off long ago in a flood... Yes, the introduction to Blues when I was 19, Mayall, Leadbelly, Cream, Blues Project, etc. I'll have these songs playing in my head for many days now. Thank you, John. You changed lives.
Can never recreate that moment from the TURNING POINT ALBUM. To tell you the truth, I’m sorry he’s doing this . I was at a concert of his and it was after that TURNING POINT ALBUM>. Some people were screaming for “ROOM TO MOVE”. And John was on to new music and he stepped up to the mike and said: “I’m not going to do that . Did you come here to hear an old record or something ? “. I will never forget that moment . . He was my hero.
I've seen John Mayall a half dozen times, but the first, probably 1971 in Philadelphia, I recall being disappointed when he announced "there'll be no 'chicka-chicka' tonight" in response to calls for Room to Move.
have this song somewhere in my stash, drummer quit just before gig recording so they performed without a drummer and JM " beatboxing" before anyone else even thought of it.....legend

Mr. Mayall. Ty for all you gave us. A true legend to me.
That is the song I remember as a young kid just learning about the blues and music
Room to Move was one of my favorite up-tempo songs when learning to play the blues harp in the early '70s. Thanks, John!
Another blues pioneer/legend passing. Playing the harp and keyboards simultaneously...nice.
RIP, John. Miss you already.

RIP John. And thanks for the great music!
50 years and still loving him ❤
John could easily make an album where HE plays all the instruments. He's THAT good!
He did. Well almost, except drums on 2 or 3 tracks. It´s from 1967(I think) and it is called "The Blues Alone" . Check it out, it is fantastic.
BLUES ALONE ~ ~ ~
RIP and thanks for the music ❤️
Totally amazing! Long live the Blues and the Legend John Mayall l!!
No one covers this hit because no one can.
Damn right
Hey, I tried to do it at a jam session a few months ago...! Wasn't too bad apparently.
Su sencillez le hacía ser más grande
We used to do it all the time. Not that hard.
It is a great song🎶💙🎶
I remember being a teenager and really loving it. Especially going to california.California. jam with Jiminy and John Lennon. I am 68.
