Great! I'm switching over from a vintage MPC to an ITB setup based around Playtime 2 and TX16Wx for a while and this saved me quite a bit of time figuring out the basic workflow.
I downloaded this a few years ago but never used it much. Definitely worth another look! I bought Pigments and use the sample engine in that a lot, which is great for pads and basses. This is much better for making things like multisamples and drum kits though.
Thx for the tutorial this softwares cool but hard to figure out. With the kind of sound design you do, what do you typically do for work? Currently interested in the field
I know it's not intuitive, but once you understand how to set it up you can speed up your workflow by creating your own programs. As a sound designer you can work in many different fields, from film post production to radio. Right now I'm working for an indie game project!
Hello! I really appreciate your video, it makes it a lot easier to understand how to use this plugin since I'm totally new. I have a question: Is there a way to transpose the key but not change the tempo? For example I have a sample in F2 but I want it to be in C#2 instead, but when I change the pitch it changes the tempo as well. How can I make it only change the pitch and not the tempo?
Hey there, thanks for your comment! If you want to alter the playback speed without modifying the tonal pitch you'll need to buy the Pro version (then you can set “pitch shift” as the "transposition engine").
-- in the Wave Editor, right-click the waveform and select "Add Loop", -- position the Loop Start and End to where you want, -- in the Keyboard Mapper table, select the split containing the wave, -- click the [+] on the left-hand side of the table entry, and select the loop in the loop/s column
Unfortunately this program stuns regulary. One time "repeaks", whatever this is. Autobackup or whatever... annoying. Help: close, restart. But pretty a crap.
finally a good video on this plugin I have for ages and never comprehended. thanks for this!!! Finally I get how this works
Thanks for your comment!

Sounds cool! Thanks for taking the time to write this comment. Happy producing :)

I tried the demo version of Pigments and it's an exceptional granular/texture synth! I agree with you that TX16 is more of a classic sampler.

@@SoundCodex Ah, I see. Thanks for replying!!
how do you make pitch change dont affect speed?
@@troll2036 that feature is available on the paid version
@@SoundCodex is it in the non comercial or no limit version?
@@troll2036 pitch shift without speed change is a feature available on the commercial version called "TX16Wx Professional"
Can this loop samples and can the samples detect tempo and stretch so they are in sync if tempo changes?

Can I use it inside of fl studio?
Of course!
@@SoundCodex Yeah figured it out, thanks
This definitively does not run on any of my computer systems.
Linux user?
@@SoundCodex Correct. This doesn't run in wine either.
