    You two did EXACTLY what my husband and I did when we did FTTF! Dropped our stuff off in the room and made a B-line to Guy's Burger Joint! Lol It's SOOOO worth it!

    I love FTTF. My first time using I walked from the hotel shuttle straight to FTTF LINE. Waited about 2 minutes, a very nice gentleman watched for a service person to complete the group she was embarking ....... MY TURN !!!! Processed in about 5 min..... to the THRILL WALK TO THE SHIP. Then straight to my room. Dumped my carry on bags and on to the FOOD. I traveled alone so FTTF was a real blessing.

    I just love the way you guys explain things. I’ve been watching a few of these FTTF videos and really learned the most from yours. Specifically the tip about calling customer service and trying to get off waitlisted status for early dining. Thank you 😊

    I'm glad that you had a good experience with FTTF. From what I gleaned from your video there are other benefits besides embarking early. We were on CARNIVAL VALOR in February out of Galveston and when they started allowing passengers on the ship they, of course, started with Diamond and Platinum and Suite Guests, next it was FTTF. It wasn't more than 10-15 minutes after they boarded they called our group number 2 to board. If that was all that was involved I wouldn't spend the extra money on it, but with some of the onboard perks, it just might be worth it. NIce to get a more complete picture of the program and thank you for sharing.

    Just paid for FTTF on the Horizon for a 6 day January 2019 cruise and it's $109 now. HUGE price jump, but worth it to alleviate my husband's traveling anxiety.

      We are going on Horizon in June 2020. How far out do they offer FTTF? I want to get it but it isn't showing available right now. Also, wonder why it is $20 more for FTTF on Horizon than the other ships? Since you're back from your cruise do you think it was worth it? We have 3 cabins booked so I want to make sure it is worth it before I spend $327 for it.

    • @imacatgorl
      @imacatgorl 5 років тому +1

      @@KMan-ye2kp It depends. I'm a very relaxed cruiser who doesn't care about waiting 40 minutes to board, and 5 hrs for my bags. However, it's worth it if any of your cabin mates are more "particular" about getting their things or waiting. It was SO worth it for me this time because my husband is so anxious. Also, having our own guest service line was amazing. I had to add cash to our account and waited in our special line of 2 people, instead of 8 people. Also the priority dining reservation paid off with FTTF. The steak house was full for the first night, but with FTTF we somehow got in. I'd recommend going to the steak house the first night because they give you a free bottle of wine. And last, I checked every week for MONTHS and it wasn't available until the Monday before we left. I've heard Mondays and Tuesdays are the best days to check.

      @@imacatgorl Thank you so much! We were going to try to book the steakhouse the night we go to Cozumel because we wanted to enjoy the port longer and we have early dining. On the first night, since you might not have your bags, what is the dress code for the steakhouse?

    Nice video.
    Just wanted to add one thing. Sometimes if you book your cruise really early (a year or more in advance) FTTF won't be available for purchase yet. I'm booked on a cruise in January 2020 and FTTF just went on sale for the cruise in March 2019. So you may not be able to purchase it right away, but will have to check back.
    Thanks again as this was a really nice breakdown of the benefits offered.

    We have used FTTF 3 times. Our next cruise isn't until May of next year but we have already purchased FTTF. I would not book a cruise with Carnival without it. As you mentioned, it was wonderful to have when we tendered in Belize and Grand Cayman. I felt a little guilty (just a little) that so many people were in line and they pulled us and put us on the tender first. It is well worth the money to me, but like you said, when you see it, get it as it may not be there the next time you look. Good video you two.

    My first cruise we had it & it was a breeze getting on the breeze haha, the longest part was we got a little lost in the waiting area following the signs. But once we found where to go we were on the ship in a matter of minuets. But yes look everyday. It was originally sold out for ours then my aunt saw avaliblity & we got it. We just booked a nother for next Jan but it's not available yet.

    • @LaLidoLoca
      @LaLidoLoca  7 років тому

      Glad the info was helpful. Suites get priority embarkation and debarkation, which is a big park of FTTF, however suites don't get priority customer service or priority tender, so it just depends if those two perks are worth the expense. For us the priority embarkation and debarkation was the factor that pushed us to purchase it, if we had a suite I don't know that we would have purchased it. - Tony

    What’s the earliest you can board the ship? I usually board the ship around 12:30 without the FTTF, but this time i can arrive around 10am to the port, so i am just wondering if i can board the ship at 10:30am for example

    • @arenat9705
      @arenat9705 5 років тому

      This was my question because my boarding is listed as 12:30-1 and I just got the FTTF. From reading it is my understanding that because of the FTTF you can board after the Diamond and Platinum guest. They board at 10-30-11:30 I believe so if you are there with them you could just go behind them. I am wondering if they have a FTTF section to sit at so they could board eveyone else then the FTTF behind. This would mean technically you could board the same time just behind them. I leave in 14 days so im trying to figure that out now.

      Hello, not quite. If you have a suite you do no need FTTF a la carte. FTTF people have priority above non-FTTF travelers. The hierarchy in descending order is Platinum, Silver, Suites, FTTF, non-FTTF. Because you have the suite, its as if you have FTTF included. You should NOT pay for it separately as your level is higher then the FTTF. FTTF affords no privileges that platinum, silver and suites don't already have. We were in our stateroom around 1115. It wasn't quite ready (with all of the birthday extras and water that was pre-ordered) but we were super early due to an early flight so we just dropped off our stuff and went to go eat. The steward asked us to leave. She did it so nicely that we almost didn't realize what she meant.
      Additionally, as a suite traveler you have access to the Admiral's lounge prior to boarding. Its a more relaxed area with light appetizers. We arrived to the port early and found it a welcome peace from the hustle and bustle of the main lobby area. We had an Ocean Suite as a splurge for a 40th birthday celebration.
      Hope that helps.

      We are going to carry on our bags, on our next cruise, and sit with the bags until room is available, but the 2pm sounds like a good idea also, except for maybe the lines. We are driving in the day before, you never know what can happen.
