Hi Scott. Firstly please first accept my condolences for the passing of your mother, I lost mine and can relate somewhat to how that feels.
Secondly I’d like to say that I totally understand your reasons behind this decision 💯 and as a new organiser to an event I am learning rather quickly what is involved and yes it’s worrying for sure when you get sad people wanting to piss on an event that is only designed for a great outcome. There definitely are clicks and most good but some bad. Like you said some are hell bent on just destroying all the hard work put into an event for a problem they could sort outside of it. But as adults they should be able to act accordingly but sadly it’s not the case. I look forward to one day hopefully getting to fish with you and have some good laughs and some good finds and most of all take more away than we came with. You need to do what’s best for you and your family needs you and family will ALWAYS come first.

Well said, its a dam shame the charity misses out. Sorry for your loss, i know iv said it already but at the time i did not know who you lost.... We at the North west crew try our best to just Mag fish and have fun, it should be the normal thing. Thanks for your kinds words. There are times to stand your ground and there are times to quietly walk away. I know the MF community will never be 100% fixed, but a few carefully places "bridges" would be a good start...and time given to those who need it, for others and them selves will help too.

It was only my second colab having not long started out, a big thing for me. Although you fish alone, I would be honoured to fish with you in the future if at all possible. I was taken back by your program to a time when soccer hooligans spoiled matches with fights and disruptions , and it seems that they have moved on to other things because they don't care about other people but especially themselves . They have nothing to lose so any agro the can fester in normal socia l events doesn't matter. You have put yourself on the line and because of your nature you have drawn a line that you will not cross . I respect you for your decision , It seems like a loss to so many others who will lose out of one of the things that they enjoy because of the bad apples in your midst . Hey Scott There are so many jealous, back stabbers in this world who love to spoil it for others. Magnet fishing is a hobby for eveyone to enjoym cleaning the rubbish from the canals to preserve the wildlife and to have fun meeting new people who share the same hobby. Little Mac from Magnetic Mac's started the hobby after watching Scott Hargood and a few other magnet fishers and it really helped with his adhd, but as he got older he has seen all the hate going around in the community and was worried if he fished with the people who the haters were after they would then start hating him also. I know that his highlights of magnet fishing was getting to meet in person so many people especially yourself and Mrs B there are so many others i could name. So sorry to hear the passing of your mum my thoughts are with you and Mrs B ❤❤❤❤❤
Very interesting, I don't magnetic fish but I do follow a few groups and have heard about there is a lot of bad mouthing etc, thanks for doing this vid , I now understand and find it mind boggling that this goes on .
Hopefully one day things will die down or certain groups will stick to there own beliefs on magnetic fishing.

Fished with you twice at the original battle of the roses top guy and family, how things have changed since then not for the better sadly constant attacks on groups and individuals ,allegations of threats of boiling water been poured over people ,allegations of cash reward for first person to throw another in the water . Cant see an easy quick solution to all of it but we can live in hope best wishes to you and yours

Mr. Scotty, I am so sorry to hear that the Magnet fishing event is canceled but I understand, there is so many haters out there that crush such a event that help out so many people and for people to really enjoy doing something that help clean out the water ways. It is sad what this world has came to. I enjoy watching magnet fishing videos every day, there is several you tube channels that I watch and I look forward for there next video because I like to see what they and you find when that magnet comes out of the water, and for some butt heads out there tp take that away is sad and hurts.
