Ed, so glad to see that you are back working with the phragmipediums. WOW! You really covered all the pertinent information on these orchids. I can't wait to see some of them in flower. Thanks for sharing.
Good evening Pat. Thank you for your feedback. I've cut three spikes off the Phrags just to put a little strength back into the plants.......the blooms were a little smaller than I would have liked......I will indead show you when in bloom again.........take care Pat and have a good week, Ed.
My pleasure to show you Catherine.....thank you for your comment and for taking yet another look at my channel....it is very much appreciated......take care and you also have a good weekend, Ed.
You have some wonderful Phrags. They grow so nicely under your care. I have one, and I've been following your advice. So far, it has been doing well. I'm grateful for your advice and tips on them.😊
Good evening Anna....lovely to hear from you and great to hear that your Phrag is doing well.......nice to know that any advice I give on this subject is proving to be positive. Have a lovely weekend and take care, Ed.
Ed once again a wonderful talk and show i have 5 of theses plants now and they are doing well thanks to your knowledgeable advice keep it comming and god bless
Your phrag videos are what brought me to your channel when I was getting into them! I always love hearing what you have to say about them. Thank you for sharing. They all look beautiful and healthy with such shiny leaves!
I hope you are still into the Phrags my friend,,,,,,,thank you very much your comment and for taking a look at my channel.....take care.....have a good weekend, Ed
Easy plants to grow Ynse......don't keep them wet unless they are getting plenty of oxygen from the water or from the pots you are keeping them in.......and exceptionally good quality water...........take care, Ed.
Perfect timing for this video. I bought a phrag (my first was bought 10 years ago and perished), and I adore this recent addition. It was an out-of-bloom orchid and it surprised me with a bud on the old spike and then another!! Thanks for the tips. Phrags are super expensive in states, and difficult to come by in Maine. However… I have been wondering about your paphs. I remember years ago, you inherited a huge paph from a gentleman who passed. It was basically in soil, as it hadn’t been repotted in years. I guess that specimen really impressed me. Wondering if you still have it, or did you move on from paphs as well?
Hi Evergreen and thank you for your interesting comment. I think that in the UK you can pick up quite a number of hybrid Phrags for around $50 plus p&c. Regarding the paphs I think you might be refering to the one with a 63" leaf span.........I honestly can't remember what happened to it but I did move on at the same time as the phrags.......I have a few small paphs again which are beginning to 'pick-up'....such slow growers I don't think I'll live long enough to see them bloom!!!.................Take care and thanks, Ed.

@@EdsOrchids I was thinking about a circular system where water is pumped round but that would probably be to much trouble
