Wow ..... his Orchids are big , hope to see what they look like when they are in flower . Thank you Reg for letting us all see you Orchids and thank you Ed for sharing your friend's Orchids .
The two of you MADE MY MORNING! Enjoyed seeing some different orchids (and enjoyed the banter between the two of you.) Gentlemen, you brought several smiles to my face early in my day. Thank you!!
Great visit! Looks like your friend is going to need a bigger greenhouse, and a separate growing space for the bulbophyllyms.😂😂❤😊. Thank you for the tour, Ed. I loved the comment, “Well, you buy them and they’re little.” 🤣🤗😂. That’s about it, isn’t it? I have growing space mapped out for mine, but it’s easy to get carried away, especially when you’re new and start having success with one orchid type. Then it’s, “Well, that one is related” or, “I think I can place that one…”🤣🤗👍🪴❤️. Well, happy growing anyway.
It was apleasure to visit Reg four years ago. Unfortunately since then he has sold all his stock due to a medical condition. Isaw him a few weeks ago at a show and he sid that he had just bought six Disas which he can manage very easily. He sold his stock to a dealer who I suppose split all his plants into divisions. Glad you enjoyed the video Lori............take care, Ed.
It's always a [;easure to visit other growers greenhouses......I'll try and do a few more but it'll mean travelling many miles across northern counties. Ed.
Enjoying your tours of your friends grow spaces. Thank you Reg for allowing us into your space. Maybe you could go back Ed when some of those spikes bloom?😀
I've already arranged another visit Trish but it will probably be in May/June. I'll make sire that Reg will read all the kind comments. Thank you and enjoy the rest of the week.... Ed.
Thank you so much Ed for showing us Reg’s greenhouse. Such large plants. As you said such healthy looking leaves. Does he use much in the way of sprays to keep the pests down. Thank Reg for allowing us to see inside his fascinating greenhouse. Great video!
Very enjoyable tour Reg, I can't believe he has all those wonderful specimens (correct me if I'm wrong) he doesn't use a TDS meter, he just measures by the spoonful.
I wonder what the demographic of your videos are Ed, that'd be interesting to see. As always, fantastic video. Really pleasant seing what Reg has done with his greenhouse... Tempts me to do something similar with mine after it's relocated.
My area is probably the most populated area outside of London area......but the most industrial, . a look on the web will tell you all you need to know. So pleased you enjoyed the video and thank you for the very appreciative comments. Ed.
He says he just plants them in bark and keeps the temp at a minimum of 14c and never turns the heater any higher to grow at intermediate temperatures.Have a nice week Barb. Ed.
I have some young paph they grow but some of the leaves start die on the tips and go down the leaves. How or what do I need to do to change this. I tried to send a picture but I have no clue how to on you tube.
Hi Victoria. Young paphs aren't the easiest of plants to grow well unless you give them the proper perameters. This sounds very easy but you have to take in that other growers differ depending on where in the world they live and what their conditions are like. Here in the UK getting brown tips on leaves can be attributed to three simple things the main one being over feeding. Orchids grow a little better with fertilizer added but with no fertilizer added they will still survive....but grow slower. The other symptoms can be overwatering where the roots take in more water than the leaves can cope with or a lack of watering whereby the tips of the roots dry out. If you can eliminate any form of disease then I would try any of the causes I have mentioned. If this is only happening to one plant then I wouldn't let it worry you. Ed

Amazing greenhouse Reg has. He seems to be able to grow Vandas and Coelogyne together. Very large healthy plants. Well done Reg.
It's amazing that he grows them all with the same parameters.
Ed
That was great! Many thanks to you both!
I'll let him know your feelings and thank you for taking a look and for the comment.

Very enjoyable tour Reg, I can't believe he has all those wonderful specimens (correct me if I'm wrong) he doesn't use a TDS meter, he just measures by the spoonful.
No he doesn't have any pH or tds meters and a teaspoon of RainMix in every two gallons.
Ed
I keep saying people overcomplicate fertilising. 🤷♂️
I love his large plants...I think I started orchids a little late in life to get the large specimen plants!! Thanks for the tour!!!
You're only a youngster Terry..........just let 'em grow
