in my opinion FromSoftware is one of the few companies nowadays that really puts heart and soul (ha-ha -_-) into their games cuz they are extremly atmospheric, they are full of strange and myterious characters/enemies, they are challenging and they just make fun... i LOVE the Souls-series

Actually, current record for all bosses is about 1 hour 10 mins, WITH DLC even if he misses it by 20 mins, that's still only about an hour and a half. perfectly reasonable run. really no reason they can't do all bosses run at GDQ.

Cancer sucks I lost my grandpa to colon cancer and it was very sudden within 6 months he was diagnosed and dead. Igor Kim near the end of gdq they do a Super Metroid run. at the last part of that game you can either save or kill the animals. killing them ends up with a faster run. so during all of gdq there is a bid war whether or not the runner will save or kill
While escaping the exploding planet at the end of the game, you can make a detour to release some trapped animals. The reason it's contested is because saving the animals changes the ending, but only very slightly. It's hard to tell if it's "the true ending" or just an easter egg. The animals reappear in Metroid Fusion, so the canon ending is that the animals were saved.

In card games (Hearthstone) which deck you play against is not RNG even though it is random. Not all random things in videogames are RNG. However today RNG is a synonym for randomness in video games.

The loading screens on the PS4 probably took 50% of the entire speedrun time.
