RE4 is one of the greatest games of all time, if anyone who is reading this hasn't played it, go buy it and play it now. You won't regret it. P.S: The Novistadors' combo lock-down is truly a terrifying thing :/
Yes, also there is the facto that everyone played PS2 here in pirates console, which RE4 was like, the standard game to come, as well as soccer and God of War 1 and 2

With the thing they talk about at ~34:35 --that's actually true of a lot of games, not just this one. The devs will program the AI in such a way that they're a lot less likely to attack you if your camera is pointed away from them, since it's never fun to get blindsided, y'know. Good thing to keep in mind the next time you're having trouble with an enemy encounter in whatever game you're playing.

The lasers at 1.23.30 were probably a homage to the laser scene in the first Resident Evil (2002) film. Could be wrong but it's far too similar for it to be random!
And here I thought I was a badass at this game. I still hold that title, but will easiliy admit that you got me good with this run. I started with the GC exclusive. Got just about every other version as they were released and would play throught them like 50 times again with each version. Ha, one of the best games ever. RE4 is such a wonderful game.

The U3 and Krauser fights remind me of my first ever playthrough of this game. I completely ran out of ammo against U3, went guns blazing in with my knife and he died after 2 slices. For Krauser, I could not beat him whatsoever and by accident I got him in a corner just like that and knifed him to death. So many memories of this game.
My brother showed me this video and it inspired me to attempt my very own speed run. Now mine was not world record setting but i did complete new game pro in 3 hours and 2:57 secs. Not bad for a first speed run on any game ever. Long time fan of the re series. Im glad to see re4 is still as popular as it ever was. #re2 remake, cant wait for nemisis!

Never been a fan of the franchise but this game won me over. I love the story, combat mechanics and mood and ambiance of the game overall. It felt completely different from it's predecessors and games that came after.
I like to imagine that the main villain built all these traps and ambushes with a sinister cackle and then this is what happens. Just some dude calmly running by everything, making the traps and puzzles look like a joke. Turning a long night into a little over an hour and a half.
If Leon completed his mission in only 1-2 hours, the president must have been like "oh she was kidnapped? Well shieeet, I had no idea she was only gone for like an hour lol"

LiFE 707 If I remember correctly, my first playthrough took me about 15 hours. Back then I was 12 and playing on my PS2 so it might take less time from someone a bit more skilled.
As a kid when the game first game out, I was 12, my first run was 13 hours. After that I pretty much played the game every single day for the next 5 years getting 6 hours 6 mins, and 6 secs one time, and my best being around 4 hours. My moms first run was 36 hours, so, ya. She pretty much died 400 times and had to keep restarting, lol.

I was not prepared for those back handsprings from Leon but they brought me so much delight.
I'm shocked it can be beaten this quickly. Even the second time I played this game on PS3, it took me 24.5 hrs. This is not a short game by any means.
