This song 🎧 keeps rising and rising but never really goes anywhere with no pay off . Some great sonic ideas and beats in there all the same. Like a volcano forming with no relieving explosion 💥
I disagree. It builds up (and for 4min with little other than her voice driving the buildup), then at 4:20 the beats and lusher instrumentation kicks in song enters danceable land. And even then her voice continues to be at the absolute forefront. I like this song a lot, and had it been 2min shorter (less build up to the danceable finale) i think it would have worked great at a postpunk/darkwave type of party.
