Your intro was *PERFECT* 😂 Thank you for sharing this! It was so cloudy here in Florida and it was only 86% or something. You guys had such a great view! 💖
Ellie and Jared could you please add us to your prayers...I'm such a mess. My father passed away suddenly Sunday evening at the age of 59, it was traumatic and paramedics could not revive him. He was my only parent ( my mom left when I was 3) and Dad never remarried. I'm just so sad and in disbelief and I'm having a hard time being strong for my babies. How do you cope with this? I find comfort knowing we'll be together again but I'm still just SO sad. You are such an inspiring and uplifting couple and you can always make me smile.
Our AUsome Life i really hope they reply to you as there is not much I can say as I haven't had to deal with a parent passing.. but I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you feel happier soon ☺️
This is so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry, just know that he will be watching over you every second of every day, and he will be with your kids as well. Be positive and strong and grieve as long as you need to. It's okay to be sad and to be hurt. Life is short, so hold your babies close and thank God for them and know that your dad wouldn't want you to be sad for ever
Can't say I watch every day, but I like how chill mom is. Nothing phases her, she just continues her wonderful cross stitch and let's life take care of itself
Amandalyn1996 ,no it is a Fahrenheit number. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I didn't even think about the rest of the world that uses Celsius! It was 60°F, and dropped to 50`F. Thanks again Amanda!
I couldn't really see when it fully happend because I was at work but we were blessed by a customer because they let our staff borrow their glasses and we were all able to see it. Seeing it in your channel was so much more beautiful and it made me cry because it was something magical and a huge blessing to be able to see. You guys are amazing. I love you guys so much! God bless ❤️
Love watching you guys! My husband and I watched the Eclipse online since we lived in a 78% area. It looked beautiful and I hope that we will get to experience the totality of the next solar eclipse in 2024!
I saw the eclipse from Charlotte, NC and it was amazing! The hazy look was so awesome. Your experience looks so so cool! Just wanted to let you know that I love your family and think your vlogs are so cute and beautiful, keep it up!
I totally enjoyed watching the eclipses on a UK weather website, but I'm also enjoying seeing everyone's reactions to the eclipse in their vlogs too. And my Mum who's in Texas right now got to enjoy seeing a partial eclipse with my sister & brother-in-law.
I experienced the eclipse in Alcova, Wyoming during my family reunion. You can't describe the experience to someone who didn't see it first hand. It was incredible! I was so glad to experience it with most of my family!
Wow, you really captured that atmosphere, totally got goosebumps!! We are supposed to have a total eclipse in 7 years here in southern Texas, can't wait!!
So many of the things you said, we said too! Like, no picture or video can do it justice! Also, we were one of the people who fought traffic on the way home! We packed up and left right after totality (we didn't wait for it to finish) so we were in the first batch of traffic and it still took us 7.5 hours to get back to SLC. Even still, this eclipse was so amazing! Completely worth it.
Wow.....loved watching your experience with the total eclipse...here in NY, it was just a partial eclipse. Thanks for sharing. Sending love from NY! ❤️
Hi Ellie and Jared. I didn't get to see much of the eclipse here in Miami, but I'm so happy you guys got to see it in is totality! Thank you for sharing the footage. Now I feel like I didn't miss out!!
Me & my family live in st louis and it was amazing! i looked at it with my family its so awesome to see something that is so rare even though it didn't last long it was so cool to see, although i was to nervous to let my daughter go outside while it was happening. but im glad you guys traveled to see it! its cool how it slowly got dark then within them few last minutes its like someone turned the light off quickly! then it started getting light again really quick. i also thought it was cool how the animals and bugs reacted to them we heard the crickets chirping and the birds in my back yard were just flying in circles around the trees about 10 mins before it happened.
We live in the Northern California High Sierra mountains and we felt a difference in temp. But it only got dusk it never turned dark. I watched it with you great video I loved it.
I live in South Carolina and it was in the path of totality but it was rainy and cloudy so it just got really dark during totality but we couldn't see the sun 😭 so exciting for you guys that you got to see it!!
So glad you got to see totality! We live just outside the zone of totality on the SC coast but it was cloudy and raining during almost the whole thing :(
It's been hot here in Sacramento, almost 100 every day! It didn't get past 85 yesterday, but during the eclipse it was only in the 70's! The eclipse actually messed with the weather all day, it started to sprinkle! (we haven't seen rain in MONTHS!) Such an awesome experience!
It was an incredible experience. We live on the oregon coast and thankfully in the path of totality . The entire thing was amazing. How the light changed , the temperature changes, the eclipse itself , the diamond ring . My kids thought it was awesome too. Though my nine year old did for some reason think she was going to start floating lol!
How i wish i can witnessed also these kind of a one of a kid nd situation..but im happy that somehow youll let us your viewers experience also the eclipse thank you ellie and jared God Bless You and your family
Our ausome life I will pray for your family so sorry for your loss God doesn't give us more than we can handle remember he is with you always and will be holding on to u tight in this sad time gods blessings
I laughed so much at the very beginning where Ellie pushed Jared. For some odd reason it reminded me of the scene from Monsters Inc where Randall showed up in a trailer and the lady hit him with a shovel 😂
I couldn't see it from where I live in Virginia, so I am so happy that I got to experience it here with E and J. I was thinking...I wonder how many babies were conceived during 100% totality? How many babies in the US were actually born at exactly 100% totality? That's a pretty neat thought, right!?
Ellie and Jared that camper trailer was an excellent investment!! What an awesome trip to see the solar eclipse with your Mom and Dad and family! I live on the east coast, and it was a total bust here, it didn't even dim the sun a little bit. But I have seen a total eclipse before, I was driving my new MG convertible with the top down, and it got dark as night and the street lights came on. Wish I could have experienced this one, but oh well!
Such a fun vlog! We had 80% coverage in Maryland so my hubby & his brother took my son with them to S.C. for his sweet 16 birthday (yes his bday was the day of the eclipse!) to experience it in totality. They are not back home yet so it was fun to watch this and see a little bit what they experienced too. Thank you so much for sharing!! The kiddos were so cute.
We live in northern California and had to see the eclipse the old fashion way a small hole in foil and shine it on a white paper it was still cool!!!! We had a very light haze and it did cool off by around 10 ish degrees!! Can't wait for the next time!!💘
We didn't get to experience totality but we had like 98% i think and it got colder and it felt so weird but didn't get super dark. It was so exciting seeing it from where you were at!! I am glad you guys got to experience it!
Smart to put the glasses in a paper plate for the kiddos to make sure that they don't accidentally damage their eyes. Good news is, there's another one coming over the USA in 7 years, so hopefully your little guys might better understand and enjoy it!
Yal got amazing footage of the Eclipse! I loved it! It's the best footage I've seen so far as far as how dark it got. It was cloudy where I live so I didn't get to see it at it's peak
That was such a fun experience! It was so interesting how the temperature dropped! I loved watching it!!! I camped out in a hammock the night before the eclipse! I apparently didn't get much sleep because after the eclipse I fell asleep for 6 hours!!!
Such a cute vlog!! From the very beginning, when Ellie pushed Jared out of the trailer!! 😂 Loved it!! Sorry, Jared. What a neat experience y'all had!! Here in West Valley, we only had 90% but it was still so awesome. Jared, I know you were probably a tiny bit disappointed that there weren't any zombies, but at least you still have plenty of gasoline & propane, not to mention Ellie's gassy self!! 😂 I'm just kidding, Ellie!! We just love your family!! 💕
We experienced the eclipse about 20 mins from Carbondale IL where totality lasted the longest! It was absolutely breathtaking! We get to experience totality again here in 2024! We can't wait!
Ive been following you since you started. I stopped getting your notifications past couple days and I saw that I was somehow unsubscribed!!! Almost half my subscribed list is gone. People check and make sure you are still subscribed.
Wow, so exciting!! I'm from Canada but have family in the states.. we did a road trip to St. Joseph Missouri for the eclipse. It was right on the line of totality, but it was overcast and kinda rainy that day so we didn't actually get to see the total eclipse. We got glimses of the sun before and after it though and experienced the darkness and change of temperature though!
Jared you sounded exactly like my husband during the eclipse. Your excitement, you stating that it the video didn't do it justice. Could have been the same video. And no, the camera adjusted as the light went away so it totally didn't do it justice. And Ellie, I had goosebumps I got so chilly.
Wow that Eclipse was a beautiful and little suspicious moment how it got dark 🌚 In Florida it didn't get nowhere near dark but seeing through the glasses was neat! 🌙
Im so happy that I can watch on video because where I am this will never happen only the mini solar eclipses,Also you better have saved me a marshmallow!
That's really interesting. I watched the eclipse too up here in Alberta Canada and non of that happened. A tiny bit of the sun got covered and that was it. 100% hot sunny all day long and never got dark till sunset in the late evening.
I love that you paid some homage to Bonnie Tyler on your guitar! So fun!! I loved seeing your footage of this. We were outside with the kids to see the eclipse from our state but our area only saw 82% of the totality. Very neat though!
So envious didn't see much at all where I am in Cali near SF got a little hazy almost smoky it looked different but nothing even close to getting dark. I did watch another's vlog from S. Carolina from an older couple sitting in there back yard the birds seemed to go crazy flying around chirping the darker it got they got silent couldn't hear them at all. When it was over you could hear them chirping again so strange.
Lol!! Who loves the beginning with Ellie shoving Jared out of the doorway?! I bet that was Jared's idea! He's so ha-ha- larious!!🤣😁😂❤❤
MOM of G3 yes! That was a funny & different way to start the vlog! Lol
Your intro was *PERFECT* 😂 Thank you for sharing this! It was so cloudy here in Florida and it was only 86% or something. You guys had such a great view! 💖
It was really cloudy in our area of California too. We couldn't see a thing 😀

Ellie, I had to get a blanket yesterday! I am with yeah when it started getting cold!
Thanks for sharing the eclipse!! I'm in Ohio and it was very hazy. We couldn't see it! Such an amazing event! ❤
MOM of G3 same! I live in western NY and didn't see much
Can't say I watch every day, but I like how chill mom is. Nothing phases her, she just continues her wonderful cross stitch and let's life take care of itself
Totally awesome event! Our temp dropped 10°! Jared, the photo with the 360° sunset was totally awesome!! Great job!
Same here it was crazy how fast it dropped
Is that Celsius? So about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. :)
Amandalyn1996 ,no it is a Fahrenheit number. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I didn't even think about the rest of the world that uses Celsius! It was 60°F, and dropped to 50`F. Thanks again Amanda!
Ellie 🤣🤣 You made me laugh so hard on the beginning clip!! Looks like a great family adventure with lots of memories!
You guys got some really great footage. It was fun sharing in your awesome experience.

The weather was so weird here in Northern California the day of the eclipse. It was really cool! You guys got such a cool view of it!!!
I couldn't really see when it fully happend because I was at work but we were blessed by a customer because they let our staff borrow their glasses and we were all able to see it. I loved that you had so much fun! I saw the eclipse in 2015, and it was amazing as well!
We had the solar Eclipse 18 years ago here in the UK and I remember I was working but we closed the store for 10 min to go out and see the Eclipse :)
Ellie and Jared Thanks for sharing this amazing footage! we couldn't see the Solar Eclipse in my country :( Greetings from Chile!

Fun blog! Loved the whole thing, the boys are very adorable and lived the beginning with booting out of the trailer, way funny!
I couldn't see it from where I live in Virginia, so I am so happy that I got to experience it here with E and J. I was thinking...I wonder how many babies were conceived during 100% totality? With us in Germany was the last eclipse of the year 1999, very great video i love you
Jared you sounded exactly like my husband during the eclipse. Your excitement, you stating that it the video didn't do it justice. Could have been the same video. And no, the camera adjusted as the light went away so it totally didn't do it justice. And Ellie, I had goosebumps I got so chilly.
Beginning was the cutest thing ever
Wow that Eclipse was a beautiful and little suspicious moment how it got dark 🌚 In Florida it didn't get nowhere near dark but seeing through the glasses was neat! 🌙
The beginning!! 😂😂
Kaylie Singer so funny!! 😂
Thank you for sharing!!! This vlog was awesome!
