I have a anne pro 2 with cherry blue (was told it was red before I bought, can't return it, long story) and I didn't like it that much. Now the snowfox is really nice. Better looking with it's black trim (personnal taste there), sound and feel more sturdy than the anne pro 2 and it's hotswappable. HOT SWAP !!! I already have a hot swap board in tkl format (the gmmk) and I like it a lot. I was looking for one in 60% and that's it ... and now to play swap with different switches. Great review. I just received mine today- one thing I noticed I that I haven't seen anyone mention is that the housing around the USB-C port is too small to fit most USB-C cables. The cable that comes included is tapered enough to fit, but if you want to use your own you need to either sand down the plastic on the cable, or use a Dremel on the keyboard case.
Thanks! Good observation, you're right the housing is quite small! I added a mag-safe like adapter and use a magnetic cable with it, and it works failry well, but regular Type C cables would be a hit or miss.
Well you're video quality is actually mind blowing you deserve more. Wish you luck. I was looking forward buying a rk61 tbh because in Italy not many keyboards have ISO layout, which the RK happens to have
I got the white one like you but with black switches. I absolutely love this keyboard. I have two other mechanical keyboards, both with cherry mx browns, and I find the kemove to have a more enjoyable typing experience. The build quality of this keyboard seems to also be on par or better than my other boards. Kemove really found a hole in the market with this keyboard. With its price, quality, and feature set, it doesn't really have any direct competitors at the moment imo.
It is now possible to load QMK on the Anne Pro 2. I wish I knew how to reverse engineer the bootloader for Apex so I could port QMK to the Snowfox as I like this keyboard better.

I was just gonna pull the trigger on an Anne Pro 2 for it's Bluetooth functionality but someone on Reddit recommended the Kemove. Took to UA-cam to see whats the fuss and lo behold you upload a video a couple hours ago. Great and detailed review man. I think I'm gonna go with this, especially for its BT advantages and hot-swapping is really tempting. Was looking at Halo Clears and Novelkeys Cream as future replacements. Have you ever tried these? And do you think they'd be compatible with this board?
I'm typing this on cream switches at the moment with the snowfox and they feel great honestly only thing is though that you will have to clip off the 2 plastic pins on them, it only took me like 20 minutes.

I’m really wanting to upgrade to the Bluetooth 5.1 so I don’t have to keep re-connecting lol also how is using the arrow keys on the bottom rightside of the board? Thank you for making this video!
It's a bummer that I can't find a full-size mechanical keyboard for the Mac with coiled USB c and RGB lighting and swappable keycaps. Everyone enjoys typing and customizing their keyboards. Why can't that be obtainable to Mac users?
Awesome video bro! So do do think in fact this is better than the Anne pro 2? I mean the Software it’s a pretty big part of why people get the info to because of all the customization with this one being on the beta do you think having all of that in mind it’s still worth it?

Can this be used wired while playing then turning on the bluetooth to connect your phone? I want to try to use the phone as a second monitor for my stream just to monitor the chat, so that i can also reply quickly by just switching the keyboard to the phone.
same boat. I'm a noob who want this but want it to be as stable and factory lubed as the Durogods, /hopefully tuning it up is doable and not too complex
I have the Venus now and it's treating me well, but I don't know what's out there in comparison. I'm still in my return window so I'd love to know if I should get this then get whatever switches I want for it for the same price.
Do you have to unplug the keyboard in order to use wireless functionality? For example, while wired to a PC, can you switch over to typing on a laptop?
I can't answer for this keeb specifically -- BUT if it is fairly similar to the Anne Pro 2, then yes you can swap between devices without unplugging. I can plug into my Chromebook for work and do some "side projects" on my laptop like watching Minimalistik's videos ;) by flipping the switch "on" and which selecting the wireless "input" my laptop is on. It's very easy on the AP2 & becomes just a couple finger flicks to make the swap back and forth. I hope it's the same for this one 'cause I'm buying it. I know how much Minimalistik loves his AP2's and for him to say this is his new daily driver is saying A LOT. I'm diving in with both feet. I'm buyin' through your affiliate link, Minimalistik, I am IN THIS. lol XD
I was looking at this on Amazon and it seemed bigger when I saw it. But in reality, it seems so compact. Do your hands not feel squished together when you use it?
I have used quite a few 60% keyboards. Your hands for the most part shouldnt be squished together. The keycaps are the same size as a regular mechanical keyboard
after moving on to custom builds i cant go back to production boards, this board would have been perfect with a nice heavy THICK aluminum case for a little more money, and support for 5 pin switches, there is no way im clipping my some cremes or inks to test on this board.
I have a question for Minimalistik or anyone else: I am experiencing massive Bluetooth connectivity problems with this keyboard. I just got it in the mail today and the connection constantly falls out, and when I type there is a huge lag issue. I dont know why this is happening. My PC is right next to my desk so I dont imagine it being the distance (ESPECIALLY with Bluetooth 5.1 like they advertise). My motherboard has Bluetooth 5.0 (which should be no problem) Alos the software doesn't seem to sync anything. The RGB on the keyboard does not sync with what I put on the software. The only way for me to have a decent keyboard experience is to have it as a wired connection (I am currently typing this on my Keymove61). Wireless is an inexplicable disaster . If someone has similar experiences or knows what the hell is going on please let me know as I am dying for an answer. This keyboard is what I have been searching for for a long time so I do not want to give up on it yet.
Hey man! great review! I have a quick question if you have time. How large is the space between the pcb and the bottom of the case? can thicker foam be added to dampen the sound? oh and could you remap the right function keys to be default arrow keys? thanks for any reply! =)
I just received mine. I'm not a mechanical keyboard enthusiast but I have tried a few budget options prior to this and so far it seems like a nice budget option with solid performance. My only complaint so far is that it is about 3mm taller at the lowest CTRL row than my other two mech keyboards (33mm total height vs 30mm) which are a full size and TKL. Is this extra height inherent to the 60% form factor in general or is it specific to this particular keyboard (or other models)? This extra height makes me inadvertently hit the spacebar when reaching for V with my thumb when using a typical WASD setup which was never an issue with my 30mm keyboards. I've just been using a cellphone case like a wrist rest as a workaround but would rather avoid this if possible. Are there any lower profile, 60%, tactile, budget (
@@mahmudhussain7950The default layout seems okay, maybe change the menu key with delete and create a shortcut for alt+tab if possible. I haven't tried the software but that's presumably this keyboard's Achilles heel. Otherwise, this keyboard has been surprisingly great. Really quiet when paired with orings too, at least for the gateron browns.
@@davetechme Does the keyboard still hold up fine? I'm planning on getting it to use it wirelessly but I keep reading that it has major connectivity issues, which make me really hesitant to buy it.
@@perlygator418 I use it wired but it's been fine. I replaced the switches with Kailh Box Pink and the keycaps with Hyperx pudding and Tai Hao rubber blanks.
how do you find developing on a 60%? I use the home/end and arrow keys regularly. But with working from home now I'm looking for a keyboard that I can mod (lube/caps/switches etc) but also use for productivity. My razer black widow green switches arent ideal for work and the cheap ms keyboard I was given for the work laptop uses AAA batteries not to mention switching between the work laptop and gaming pc is a challenge.
Can I just confirm that the software allows you to change every single key? Especially the function key? I know that some keyboards don't let you change the function key location, but this one does?
I would also love to know this. I have one of the earlier Kemove keyboards and there you can't remap the function key. You can make additional keys switch layers, but you can't turn the fn key back into rctrl.... I hate it.
@@TheThirdWorldCitizen yeah you can but what if if i wanna recycle the switches and use them in another keyboard that has 5 pin support the switch is going to loose all its stabilization and what if i wanna sell the switches
Hi I am having trouble downloading the driver for this keyboard. All I am getting is random code on a notepad. Please help. All I want is this Software to work so I can customize.
does this have any tap layer functionality? wanna go to this one but the tap layer on the Anne makes it easier to transition out of having dedicated arrow keys for me
minimalistik I have another question, I have a hot swap keyword and I was wondering what switch you think I should get? I am not sure even if I would prefer a liner or tactile. Right now it has Cherry browns.
Can you move the fn key if you want to? And regarding switches what brands have the five pin switches mostly and are there any other switches that can’t be used in it besides optical? I wish there was a lot of compatible key switches
Your review helped a lot. I am trying to pimp up my snowfox. Do you know of any links to get backlit keycaps with fun prints like "super", "duh" etc printed? Thanks.

Does this have the tap arrow key functionality? Or only through FN key?
FN
arn't those gaterons optical? if so why no mention of it?
Hi minimalistik
Whats better the Kemove snowfox or the SK64?
great video!
kemove.
you should review the kraken pro 60%
Can this be used wired while playing then turning on the bluetooth to connect your phone? I want to try to use the phone as a second monitor for my stream just to monitor the chat, so that i can also reply quickly by just switching the keyboard to the phone.
This or the Durgod Venus?
I'm buyin' through your affiliate link, Minimalistik, I am IN THIS. lol XD
Hi mine is not charging. :( can’t it be used while it is connected?
i cam't find the soft ware pls give me the link
I was looking at this on Amazon and it seemed bigger when I saw it. But in reality, it seems so compact. Do your hands not feel squished together when you use it?
I have used quite a few 60% keyboards. Your hands for the most part shouldnt be squished together. The keycaps are the same size as a regular mechanical keyboard
I liked that it's squished. it makes touch typing much easier
after moving on to custom builds i cant go back to production boards, this board would have been perfect with a nice heavy THICK aluminum case for a little more money, and support for 5 pin switches, there is no way im clipping my some cremes or inks to test on this board.
afaik the keychron k6 has an aluminum case option and has hotswap pcb for 5 pin but apparently the switches are a bit hard to remove
My motherboard has Bluetooth 5.0 (which should be no problem)
Alos the software doesn't seem to sync anything.
Sounds very tempting but I'm in a mac here :-( I'll have to keep an eye out for when they have the mac version ready.
... It has a mac layout tho?
@@prtib I meant the software.
i heard you can change layout on a windows computer and then it’ll save when using mac
eggrolls oh wow, I did not know this... I’m going to use the work PC to get this done lol
Hey man! great review! I have a quick question if you have time. How large is the space between the pcb and the bottom of the case? can thicker foam be added to dampen the sound? oh and could you remap the right function keys to be default arrow keys? thanks for any reply! =)
I need some of that PBDee Keycaps :D
My anne pro 2 experience has been a nightmare, it missed a lot of keystrokes. Not sure if it's the board's problem or switches' problem.
Is the software pre-installed when you plug it on the computer or do you have to download it in a link?
You'll probably have to download it from the website.
Why does the cord plug into???
Are there any lower profile, 60%, tactile, budget (
Hi, I got mine today but having trouble using it the keymap is all of the place. Did you experience this?
How do you turn off the RGB lights? I just got it and I can't figure it out.
Haven't figured either, I just reduce the brightness to 0 haha
Can I just confirm that the software allows you to change every single key? Especially the function key? I know that some keyboards don't let you change the function key location, but this one does?
I would also love to know this. I have one of the earlier Kemove keyboards and there you can't remap the function key. You can make additional keys switch layers, but you can't turn the fn key back into rctrl.... I hate it.
@@tobiaswieschnowsky6753 Hey I have one now. Yes, you can remap the function!
Will a diamond linear switches work with this key board?
Daily driver ? Not the Durgod Venus ?
Well i was thinking about buying it but it doesn't have support for 5 pin switches how hard is it to get 5 pin switch support
I thought you’d just cut the plastic pins?
@@TheThirdWorldCitizen yeah you can but what if if i wanna recycle the switches and use them in another keyboard that has 5 pin support the switch is going to loose all its stabilization and what if i wanna sell the switches
I have this keyboard and have it for a few months now but was unaware of the software window to customize. Where do I find that?
The software can be installed on a Mac as well or there is not any version available actually? Thanks in advance!
Hi I am having trouble downloading the driver for this keyboard. All I am getting is random code on a notepad. Please help. All I want is this Software to work so I can customize.
Do you know, if the aqua king switches can also fit in as a switch?
It can use every mechanical switches
@@urabus986 ok Thx
Are there different versions of this keyboard bc the one im.loomong at have different key caps
I Wish this keyboard featured Cherry Mx switches it hot-swappable but I don't wanna buy even more switches
how to put question mark on that keyboard?
does this have any tap layer functionality?
wanna go to this one but the tap layer on the Anne makes it easier to transition out of having dedicated arrow keys for me
Could you put novel keys creams on this board?
Peerless yep! Since it has 5-pin switch sockets
minimalistik thanks for the super fast reply!
minimalistik I have another question, I have a hot swap keyword and I was wondering what switch you think I should get? I am not sure even if I would prefer a liner or tactile. Right now it has Cherry browns.
Exactly what I’m planning to do! How did it go?
@@sangrino7166 I decided to use the zelios v2 67g, went great. I’m happy with my decision.
which Bluetooth 5.1 dongle (adapter) would you recommend for this (that also works under linux)?
i want to know too
Any recommendations?
Gateron red lubed and stabs lubed it sound amazing!
cna I take off the black frame if I want?
What’s the big difference between this and the dk61 pro
Dk61 not hotswappable with mechanical switches (only with optical)
Also DK61 has worse software and build quality
Can you move the fn key if you want to? And regarding switches what brands have the five pin switches mostly and are there any other switches that can’t be used in it besides optical? I wish there was a lot of compatible key switches
Plz do a typing test with halo clears!
how does it compare to the rk61?
Should I get this or the rk61
is there a high end version of this?
Although the software is windows only do the changes you make then work on the Mac side?
Your review helped a lot. I am trying to pimp up my snowfox. Do you know of any links to get backlit keycaps with fun prints like "super", "duh" etc printed? Thanks.
aliexpress
Is Banggood safe because I want to buy this
is it possible to replace the PCB?
Any way to put this in sleep mode after 5 mins or at all
i have a question, can you use the keyboard on a mac os??
