Gonna try and get the achievement of beating the devs in under 40 minutes, beating it without saving and without dropping or storing anything in your inventory and watching this video definitely helps me see what i need to do to get them. Definitely not gonna get them as fast as you but im looking forward to it
You took as much time as how much I did just exploring the pretutorial bunker are pre save room scared xd the game might be short but it is well done. Cuz u don t roam fast in ffirst playthrough u explore slowly and scared
@BloodThunder Is there a category of speedruns that are glitchless, but still not reloading save points? I'm doing glitchless runs on easy myself, but no reloading and my record is 26. Would be super interesting to see what a master would pull off without reloading saves once the codes are taken.
Before the most recent community vote to decide the glitchless ruleset, the save point reloading was banned. There isn't any current category that would follow that ruleset however. well you have to fuel up the generator for certain events required to beat the game. opening the prison door, turning on the fuel pump to the tunnels and getting the arsenal code from communications. The harder difficulty would make the monsters a bit more aggressive but what makes it more annoying is that you just get less item spawns overall so getting things like grenades happen less often. molotov cocktails has some uses if you want to burn down wooden doors or burn the bodies to get rats out of an area but not super useful
not really since a hard mode atm would just be the same strats but more resetting over reduced item spawns (less chances of getting grenades). Once the next update comes out and the 'shellshocked' mode gets introduced with new settings that'll actually change mechanics/components of the game I might mess around with runs of that
since the old 'glitchless' route that got changed to the No Major Glitches category, the big change is the wrench skip was banned (some other stuff got banned as well but they were found after the change in rulesets anyways)
Wait so u can outrun the boss? Lmao.. but can u actually kill him? I intentionally didn't watch after the radio thingy but now i did.. but i can't kill the stupid monster
the monster can't be killed. if you damage him enough, or if he runs into tripwire traps on his own he will retreat for a certain amount of time. (both the amount of damage needed to make him retreat and the time it takes before he comes back to chase the player is determined by the difficulty you're playing on)

But in truth, there should have been a dynamic brightness Where your eyes adjust to the darkness if you stay in X% lightness area(like below 30%) and the brightness get reduced if you stay or look up light sources.
This run doesn't use any prison skip, so if you're referring to the old wrench skip (which is now banned in this category anyways), that was patched out of the game a while ago

I love how with this the monster is a “mild inconvenience”
its funny seeing something that took me 30 minutes of being terrified slowly working my way through the dark take you like 45 seconds
it took me 30 mins for that kinda stuff the 1st time around as well. the darkness isn't so scary once you know your way around

it does not. everything in this run was decided by the community after a lot of discussion to be within the glitchless ruleset.

I have the gamma bumped up in game so that it's easier to see in the dark sections of the game
