The greater teacher in Hindu Dharma is SriKrisha who was Yadav caste or Shudra even though he was king. Valmiki who wrote Ramayan was an outcaste a hunter. Mahabharat was written by Vyas who was fisheman again a Shudra. Bhagwat Geeta says that society was divided into Varna based on Guna and Karma i.e. Profession and attitude. One of the greatest emperor Chandragupt Maurya, Granddad of Ashok was a Shudra. The pyramid of caste oppersion is all made to beat Hindu Dharma. Without doubt Brahmins were very powerful but it was because of their education and they were respected more for being austere and essentially penniless. The pyramid was quite fluid and a number of royal familues came from Shudra caste. Fun fact - The biggest landholding in 1947 was with the Shudra Maratha kings that is Scindhia of Gwalior, Holkar of Indore, Gaikwad of Baroda. Caste is irrelevant in Diaspora and best forgotten. But is very much alive in India due to the massive affirmative action and benefits. Hence all the disadvantaged Jatis are battling to be declared the most backward, to corner the benwfits. The worst caste violence is in Tamilnadu!! The only diaspora community which practices caste descrimination are Sikhs. Jatt Sikhs are violently against Majahabi Sikhs all the while Khalistani oreach that there is no caste in Sikh society.

Hinduvta isn't Hindu nationalism (the way western press describe it).Meaning of Hinduvta is Hindunees aka you have to put your Hindu identity above than your jati identity.Hinduvta started as a political forced in 1925 against the cast discrimination among Hindu community,against the missionary influenced British colonization & against the muslim identity based muslim league politics happening that time. Before 1925 India divastated by muslim league lead klilafat movement which was based on pan islamism & created riotes across country in which many Hindus were killed.Famous one is malabar violence.So in that situation Hinduvta as a political forced emerged. Hinduvta believe that India is a ancestral & natural homeland of dharmic faits (Hinduism+Bhuddism+Jainism+ Sikhism).Unlike what Patel guy said Jatitva (cast based identity & it's reflection in voting pattern) exited in India from independence time. India was very poor country from 1947 to 1991.The biggest reason for this because Indian economy based on Neheruvian socialism.Due to economic meltdown in 1991 India forced to do economic reform as a result India get prosperous than before & huge number of middle class emerged who are less concerned about their cast identity. From 2004 to 2014 during UPA era corruption after corruption happened & India become one of the fragile 5 economy. In this situation BJP Modi lead NDA come into power. Upper Middle class, Middle class, poor all voted for Modi lead BJP for changed. Modi able to get support of Middle class through his uncorrupted rulling & economic progress. He able to attract poor class vote (most of them are scheduled cast & scheduled tribe people) through his social welfare scheme & women votes through his schemes for women. When opposition face defeat after defeat in election so they started their jativva card more bruntly.So both Hinduva & Jatitva is old political concepts of India.
