    You should try a mix. 1 part bentonite, 2 parts kaolin, and 1 part rhassoul. You will get the benefits of each and save little money. Also try mountain rose herbs. great quality ingredients :-)

      I will definitely give it a try. I have tried bentonite mixed with rhassoul and I loved the results. Thank you :)

      where do you buy your clay?

  • @mdunawaym

    TMI fact. When I was in high school I went to a friend's parent's cabin in the mountains. When I showered I could not find the shampoo. All of the bottles were unlabeled. I went with the one that smelled most like shampoo, but it was really watery. I went ahead, and my hair had never looked so good! It was shiny, silky (my hair was very long then (it was the 70s)), and I found out it was my friend's mother's douche!
    I read some, and found out that the vinegar in the douche had stripped all the years of buildup from other shampoos and hair spray (it was the 70s) out of my hair! So you are right on target in saying that apple cider vinegar is a good thing to add.
    I wasn't really looking for the hair benefits of bentonite clay when I watched this, but you're so pretty I watched to the end! ;)

    I want to try mixing some. Rhassoul was almost too moisturizing for my roots or not cleansing enough. My ends tend to be dry and frizzy . But was so shocked how my waves and curls showed up after cleansing with the clay. Just gotta find the right mix now.

    Thank you so much! I was looking for more information about two types of clays and you also gave me an explanation of another third type. And you also shared some importants informations about how to use them. I'm Brazilian and I don't know how much cost the bentonite and the rhassoul clay here. I hope they are not so expensive!

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  7 років тому

      The bentonite clay is inexpensive and has become quite popular so you may be able to find it in your local health food stores. The rhassoul clay is a bit more expensive and I have only purchased it online :).

      @famafernandes11 7 років тому

      Allright, thank you for your time! You are right:I only found the rhassoul online. It's very expensive here, but I'll buy it any way. And I will continue to watch your videos.

    Hi! Thank you for sharing the differences in the clays! I have one question: How often do you use the clay to wash your hair? Is it better to use just the clay and no more shampoo?

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  7 років тому +1

      Hello! I hope your doing well. I use the clay as needed and I also use shampoo to cleanse my hair as well. I try to alternate between the the clay wash and shampoo. The clay is a gentle cleanser, so you can use the clay wash by itself if you do not use products that cause build up. The shampoo helps to remove all the build up. Hope this helps.

    •  7 років тому +1

      Hi! Thanks for answering, it helps a lot. I will try to do that. My hair love when I wash it with the clay. Thank you for your time. Regards from Brazil.

    Thank you for sharing the differences in the clays. Questions: I have low porosity hair. What hair products would be best used after the clay? How often should I use it? I do not have a hair regimen yet. We may have different hair type and porosity, and what works for your hair may not necessarily works for mine and vice versa. I want to start somewhere. Again, Thanks.

      After I apply the clay mixture to my hair, I usually do an apple cider vinegar rinse afterwards. After rinsing it out, I spray my hair with some aloe vera and style with Shea butter or Giovanni leave-in. I seal the leave-in with oil and twist my hair up :). I wash my hair weekly, every Friday is wash day. I suggest you pick a day that is convenient for you to wash your hair on. The clay is a natural hair cleanser and can be used during your wash days. However, I prefer to add my shampoo and conditioner into my regimen. I use it when I don't feel like mixing the clay. Hope this helps!

    I used rhassoul clay with water and it made my hair greasy, I deinitely have to tryout with applecider vinegar

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  7 років тому +2

      Yes definitely try it with the apple cider vinegar. It clarifies the hair and removes buildup. That should help clean the hair without the greasy feel :).

    I bleached my 4c natural hair and after that is kind of weak and dry . I have the the rhasshoul clay, can I use it or should I get another one? Thanks

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  6 років тому +1

      Do not use rhasshoul clay on bleached hair. It may ruin your hair color and cause breakage due to the chemicals from the dye. Since your hair is weak and dry, you need to do a protein treatment and a moisturizing treatment. Try to alternate between protein and moisture and your hair will bounce back. I use aphogee 2 minutes reconstructor for protein and shea moisture raw shea butter mask for moisture. Hope this helps.

    Is bentonite clay and fuller earth are same?

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  6 років тому +3

      No they are not the same, fuller earth mainly has palygorskite. Its used to absorb grease, animal waste (cat litter) and pesticides/fertilizers. I personally would not use fuller earth on my hair.

    Hi which clay can I use to bring out my curls back due to keratin and bleach?

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  4 роки тому

      If your hair is damaged from bleaching and keratin treatment, I think it will be best to see a natural hair stylist. Clay does not repair damaged hair. I hate to mention this, but from my personal experience, damaged hair needs to be trimmed off. Hopefully, you will find a good stylist that can help you. Good luck!

    Can I use the clay after coloring my hair?

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  7 років тому +1

      I am not quite sure. The clay might cause the color to eventually fade and look dull. You can try a strand test to see if the colored hair will react well to the clay.

    When you say you add "aloe vera GEL" to the clays, did you really mean "aloe vera JUICE"?

    • @TeaTimeWithBev
      @TeaTimeWithBev  7 років тому +2

      Lily of the dessert makes Aloe Vera juice and the gel. I prefer to use the gel instead of the juice. But they both work great.
