OMG I love your videos for so many reasons, but mainly because you're a black woman in S.T.E.M. We need more women of color in S.T.E.M. Your videos are so well put together. I myself find it hard to explain chemistry to others at times. I feel like you could show this to a middle school class, and they'll understand it. My only question is why aren't on the cover of Ebony, Essences or Scientific American? The communities needs more people like you.

Hi there may I ask why rhassoul clay works better on your hair? The reason I’m asking is I have washed my hair with rhassoul and felt it was more cleansing than when I washed it with bentonite. I’m trying to decide which one to buy. I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you kindly
OMG OMG i was literally saying where are our black female scientist for a real in depth scientific video regarding what we put in our hair and what actually happens. This is just my mathematical brain thinking i want to know the process and so on YASSSSSSSSS thank you so much from a Black WISTEM to another xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Crazy how much I paid attention in my chemistry class but I do remember learning about some of this stuff and you’re spot on with your info I think I’ve said this before but your channel is so underrated. U always have Mad info and your not just talking BS you actually know your stuff and go in great detail for better comprehension. 👍🏾
Thank you for this video. I’ve been using bentonite for a while with no dryness issues like some report but have heard that rhassoul is more moisturizing. So I hopped on amazon to get some and “Ghassoul” came up in the search. I figured I would get it anyone hoping it was the same or at least similar. Just got it today. Thanks for highlighting that they are the same
You are such a professional! This reminds me why I chose Biology in College. You have that passion for Science and it shows. Very helpful video, still watching in 2022
Thank you so much for this video. Trying to come up with an ayerveda regimen for my hair and couldn't decide if I should use both bentonite and Rhassoul or just bentonite. Will definitely be picking up Rhassoul next week. Keep these informative videos coming!
I've been researching clay stuff and it's been hard to find many actual sources (as opposed to personal documentations), thank you so much for this informative video and all of your listed sources! This has helped a breakthrough!
I really appreciate your scientific breakdown of every product, mineral, vitamin or substance that benefit the hair, I’ve learned a lot on your Chanel and appreciate the information so thank you my dear!🤗
I've never used Bentonite clay but I chose Rhassoul clay because based on my research (aka Google), it was shown to be the most moisturizing/conditioning.

I so love your videos. I've learn a lot from you. In your next video can you please let us know who sells the best types of clay. All manufactures are not created equal. THANKS SISTER!
I've seen a lot of buzz about Vicks vapor rub and hair growth when applied to the scalp. Can you do a video on the ingredients in the vapor rub, how they benefit hair growth, and how we can make our own natural version?
Thank you for an extremely well done video! When I tried to find kaolin clay I found a pottery material shop that said "Kaolin is the main source of aluminum in glazes". Won't this heavy metal be left on the scalp and hair when using it on them?
This is why I love your channel. Your videos always satisfy my need to know... Thanks so much can’t wait for the next video! Patiently waiting. Do you think it’d be possible to do *videos in the future about natural skincare?* I love using clays on my hair and skin. Also *I’m really curious about winter wash and gos.* I have type 4 hair, and recently started wondering about whether it is a smart way to actually retain length and moisture. Very curious about why it may work for some people and not others. Thanks again for the video!!! 😘
Myriamprettysecrets Sorry for a dumb question but are silicones like the Jheri curl products because if so, my 4c High Porosity hair loves Jheri curl spray
Hey, I don't know about this product because I'm from France but you can find silicones reading the INCI list behind the product. Usually silicony ingredients end by "cone" like Dimethicone and things like that
Would mixing a clay with a negative charge with one with a positive charge render them both effective? I’ve been mixing clays pretty ignorantly until now wondering if I’ve been wasting a bunch of product 😩
Hi I understand the point of the video but as it is supposed to be related to hair I think it would have been great to explain what highly ioniq or high absorption concretly means when you wash your hair with it. Is this clay better to clean, gentler etc ???

Hello I mixed Bentonite+Keratin conditioner+Aloe juice and result seems better than just Clay+Aloe. Is there a scientific support for this? Thanks for your help
i’m going to mix all 3. the last time i did a clay wash it was horrendous for some reason. like my hair was dry af afterwards. my hair legit laughed at my staple conditioner 😭 i wanted to cry
A vinegar rinse beforehand would totally help with that. It also changes the texture of hair, smoothes thickens and deep cleans it, don't ask me how. But try that beforehand, if you have dryness issues. Its a gamechanger
What do you think about adding the herbal powders to a clay based dry shampoo mix? Would there be any benefit? Or do the herbals nutrients need to be carried in oil to be potent?
