Sell the Jean Paul G. on your own. I found a treasure trove of it last year and sold it myself. The Real Real has turned into a churn and burn consignment. It isn't willing to wait for items to get top dollar so they price stuff low and then put it on discount very quickly. I sent them a NWT $2190 dress last month, they listed it for $299 and mis-described it. Within a week they discounted it to $199. Because it was not described correctly and to be honest, their photos were crappy I requested it back and sold it myself on Posh for $480 within 2 weeks of listing. Posh only took 20% of that $480, whereas the RealReal was going to take 60% of whatever they sold the dress for which likely would have been $199 or less.
Ashley regarding the Tesla leggings @1:20, you may know this already but I learned the hard way that Tesla workout gear and Tesla the car company are two different brands. I bought probably five pairs of their leggings before I learned this. That's why the comps aren't there.
I got rid of my Lularoe stuff after watching the documentary. The whole thing broke my heart.😭 I am grateful to have this business--my mom and I do it together. In the only two years we've been doing it, we've had so many interruptions to our store. It is a wonderful thing to be able to put something on the back burner and to know you can pick it right back up again. Truly thankful for it!
The Real Real for sure! You've done really good with other sales there so I would just send it and see what happens 😉 good luck! Thank you for giving us all those great labels to look for. Many hugs for the munchkins
Can I just say, I must live in the slums, because the finds are unreal! Just the shoes alone. My local gwi usually has nasty, broken, hole ridden, dusty crusty cheap tennis shoes. You my dear have many honey pots. I’m green with envy. Thank you for sharing your gems!
Last year I went to almost every GW - especially the ones closest to the most affluent suburbs- they were all equally as bad!! The only place I can find those high end brands is at the designer mall (“Saks”, etc) and we have one high end resale shop.
We have Savers where I just moved to as well and I went to one for the first time last month, their prices BLEW MY MIND! I see things I know are from the dollar tree for 5 dollars and anything they recognize the brand name of they price like they are selling it new. Seriously you have to hunt for a deal at Savers.
I’ve been reselling for 4 months and I love it!! I found Rothy’s a few weeks ago and sold them for $80 in 2 days!!! They were just the black ones but I looked like a crazy person in the store when I jumped up and down lol
Sell the JPG yourself. RR may sell for higher but they take a much bigger chunk. Price high and see where it goes. I found a pair of Rothy's last year that are practically new...they are my size & I still can't decide whether to keep or sell.😒
The thought process behind each item is so enlightening! Thanks for sharing. I also really love listening to all the key words and descriptions when talking about the items it helps me learn new style names and unique features I'm sometimes unsure how to describe!
Send it to the RR, and if you see that it doesn't sell on there or if they discount it too much, just ask them to send it back to you and sell it yourself on EBay.
OMG! I found the same exact Rothy’s today but in the black white halo color way. I snagged them for $8. I’m hoping to get $100. The last retired Rothy’s I found sold for $100. I would definitely send the dress into TheRealReal for a scam free peace of mind🤣
Wow you really ARE Cashley! 😯 Here in the Netherlands I never see this kind of "goldmines" in thrift stores. However, I'm also not a very active seller. It's more like a side hustle for me.. when I find the time and mood to sell stuff online. :)
Awesome video! You have such a great, happy personality! You are a joy to watch. I have learned from your videos. Thank you for sharing! 🦋Janet English🐞
Stoke gold to day with a Ralph Lauren black label 100% cashmere dress, so excited then it found me a Dolce Gabbana 2,000 sundress that is so pretty (on a new rack of course), a new bedhead set of PJ’s and a ton of jeans finally!!!!! Cloth and Stone is now at TJ Maxx so expect to see a lot of it. I can’t sell Free People to save my life???? They are falling like Rothy’s, Free Birds. Grand finale I found a very worn LV sachem that I have a lot of cleaning to do! Good day for me.
WOW what great finds. I had finally found a pair of Rothys but when I looked at the heels, they had way too much uneven wear so I left them...I would send the dress to TRR & if they price too low I have heard you can discuss the pricing or have them send back to you. I too had some high end designer items I sent to them because I did not want to sell to possible scammer.... I also learned a couple new brands I need to be on the hunt for...
AMAZING FINDS!!! List the dress yourself. At least try for $1500 on ebay and take $1000. You know what you’re doing. If it doesn’t sell by spring, then send it into the The Real.
I sold those same Free People flats for $63 on September 24th but on Poshmark. Paid $8. I have yet to find Tieks, too! I found Rothys twice (chili point flats which were NWOB for $9 and The Chelsea Boot for $8 in retired lilac grey)
Wow🎉. What a find. I know it feels good when you do spend hours at a store and find some good brands and the one fantastic piece worth hundreds. I hope it sells quickly for you wherever you list it 👍
I’m not completely sure how The Real Real works as a reseller, so I automatically want to say sell it on eBay. Then again if people are shopping on The Real Real, they are willing to pay for the name brand, eBay buyers are usually looking for a steal. I’m very interested in what you decide & how much you get for it. Exciting!! Awesome thrift trip!
That kills me!! I found that same pair of Rothys at my Will. Sold them for $70. The post office lost the package, still unrecoverable and no longer looking. Seeing your find found me in pain lol 😆
I've never seen shoes that nice in a thrift store. Most of the shoes I see are worn out and dirty. I don't think I've heard of a single brand you mentioned except Dansko. What's so special about Rothy's?
I don't pick up Luleroe either...I did years ago if new and cheap enough. I actually just donated several items from old deathpile from my storage unit.
Another cashmere confirmation: I had a beautiful cashmere shirt that I inherited from my grandfather as a teen, so I have a real emotional reaction when I find pure cashmere. My latest was an Alfani men's long-sleeve that I picked up pretty cheaply. I'm usually super careful about checking but while I was photographing it; sure enough, I found a hole.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏾😀😊🙂🙏🏽☺! But it was the smile for me when while you where talking about the Rothys find! That is on my and everyone else's bucket list💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💫 that means I'm next 😫🙏🏽💪🏾 manifestation in the air. But your always drooping these 💎💎💎💎💎 ✌🏼 and thrift energy from New Jersey 💫❤🥰🥰 and send it into The Real Real
Ashley - WOW what a great video. I'm super jealous of your great finds at the Thrift. Thanks for sharing about the shoes and the clothes. The John Paul Gaultier dress was crazy good find. I still have so much to learn - so big THANK YOU.
Hello Ashley. Great finds!! I found a pair of Rothys at a local consignment store and was so excited!!! I paid up for them, but just knew I could at least double my profit. Listed that night, the next morning I had several people send me messages that they were fake. They had the original box and were in great condition. Found out by research that they were indeed fakes. I was so sad and disappointed. Oh well, you win some and lose some.
Love this video, I was cheering for you each time you found something! Can't wait to see what that Jean Paul G sells for!! I am very curious what time of day you went thrifting?? Lol
Hahah😂. what’s up with the red-ish hair with the dress hahah. Glad you are having fun with your finds. Love these videos while I clean my thrift finds.
Sell the dress on eBay...by the time the RR discounts it and takes their huge cut you won't get the $$$ you will on eBay in record time. Just don't get too greedy with what you're asking.
U have the *cutest* sense of humor, love it!! 🥰 I sold a John Paul Gaultier X La Perla bikini with the same ed hardy-looking snake pattern on poshmark for $150, sold very quickly. I'm sure the dress will go for a lot! Fun find!! And Rothy's! Awesome.
You should probably find out what The Real Real will sell the dress for. If they underprice it, you could always claw it back and list it yourself. What a great haul you had!
I'd list the dress myself & price that baby waaay up! Take your time & wait... not like it's taking up a bunch of room in your house & it may bring more traffic to your store. I'm speaking from experience, but it does take some backbone to wait for the right buyer. Just my advice for those once in a lifetime finds. Price is so much more than comps... supply & demand; trustworthiness of seller; shipping speed; cleanliness; price is no object to some, etc. 😎
take a few min brake every 30min youll get less tired and bring some banans youll get natural energy. i get really tire after one houy thrift and im not even a resell 😂 its tiering ❤ best to do even a 20min work out /light yoga , pilatise evet i hold better this days when i do that
I still cant believe how many high end brands you are finding in Utah! We have lived there a couple of times now, but I was doing retail arbitrage at the time. Looks like I should have been doing pre-owned! Great video! 🥰
your Goodwill has some great looking shoes......I sell on eBay, but shoes is where I struggle with and basically stay away from. I would like to learn more. I like that you showed the name on the shoe (what to look for) and a little description about the shoe. Can you do a video on what you look for in a shoe? How you clean, wash, and also how to get the silver or black markers off the shoes....grrrrrr. I love all your videos!
My GW keeps their "high end" shoes in a glass counter, many times they have sports equipment pushed up against it and I think a lot of people never even look in there. I was thrilled to find my first pair of rothy's in the case, they were even my size (one of the few pairs of dress shoes I might even be able to wear because of my bunion). WELL! Items behind the counter cannot be kept in my cart, they said they would hold my shoes at the cashier. Big mistake! After shopping for another 30 minutes I went to the cashier, she had no idea where the shoes were. 😭 I've learned my lesson to buy my counter items immediately!
Sell the Jean Paul G. on your own. I found a treasure trove of it last year and sold it myself. The Real Real has turned into a churn and burn consignment. I agree. I would consider Tradsey if it doesn’t sell on eBay or Poshmark

yes please more thrifting content, I am learning loads from you

Do you live in Chattanooga area lol? Same here.
Same! You are not alone. And the prices are so high!
I agree! Colorado Springs GW is the pits. Might try Woodland Park or Denver.
Last year I went to almost every GW - especially the ones closest to the most affluent suburbs- they were all equally as bad!!
The only place I can find those high end brands is at the designer mall (“Saks”, etc) and we have one high end resale shop.
I agree, the clothes are in bad condition and smell bad and as for shoes I wouldn't even touch them and prices have gone up
You sure know quality!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great profits to come~~~~~~
I have found tieks twice at the bins its so exciting
We have Savers where I just moved to as well and I went to one for the first time last month, their prices BLEW MY MIND! what's awesome about Rothys is that you can machine wash them and they come out perfect.
I am so glad I found your channel. My new favorite reseller!
Ashley, I love your commentary and your humor. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m so glad you tried it on. I love your content and thinks one of my faves!
Congratulations on such an amazing find!!! So very happy for you!
Love your commentary. It is very helpful.
S0 happy for you young lady. Love your channel.
The thought process behind each item is so enlightening! Thanks for sharing. I also really love listening to all the key words and descriptions when talking about the items it helps me learn new style names and unique features I'm sometimes unsure how to describe!
Have you made a video of how you process your items from Steaming to putting in your bins?
I have! I will do an updated one though 🥰
Retired Rothy's always do so well! And the JPG dress is so cool - so many great finds today!
Send it to the RR, and if you see that it doesn't sell on there or if they discount it too much, just ask them to send it back to you and sell it yourself on EBay.
Hallelujah 🙏
Btw, your video editing is getting better !
Great Finds!!! Took some notes on brands I’m not familiar with as well 👍
You buy nice things! Most people people on UA-cam buy junk and think it will sell for top money.
Great content, Ashley! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I really like how you talked about the different pieces you considered and your decision making process. Very helpful. Thanks!
Incredible finds!! I’m still on the hunt for Rothy’s here. Yay you!! Can’t wait to hear what that cray cray dress garners! :)
I love thrifting with you content. You show and tell as a reseller why you pick stuff. Smart picks.
Love this style of video! I really like seeing you find everything and hearing your thought process.
Wow what an amazing haul!!!

I love thrifting! I am not a reseller, tho. I love finding things for myself and my house!
I loved the change in your video. Keep them coming like that!
Just to help you out with your jacket name, the last name is just pronounced like this: go - t - a. Accent on the "go". Hope this helps! Love ya!
Haha! I was in the same thrift probably on the same day. Saw a ton of what you passed on. Did NOT see the Rothy's! Great find! Love your videos!
WOW what great finds. Rothys is definitely on my bucket list. Living in the Southeast may be awhile. Congrats on all your beautiful finds!
Nice finds💕 thanks for the Bolo’s 👍
You are glowing btw 🙂 you have a great smile. Be well 💕
Great finds!!! I found a pair of ROTHY’S for 69cents at my local thrift shop!!! I sold them for $95
This is crazy try and sell it for yourself first then send it in. You look different I almost past your video you look like a model😍❤️
AMAZING FINDS!!!
List the dress yourself. At least try for $1500 on ebay and take $1000. You know what you’re doing. If it doesn’t sell by spring, then send it into the The Real.
Eww green smoothie... lol good for you! That dress is awesome! I learn so much from your videos!!
I love watching Luluroe documentaries.
I like your videos. Good luck for us resselers this year.
I sold those same Free People flats for $63 on September 24th but on Poshmark. Paid $8.

You look different, in a good way!! Lol. Like your lips are fuller and your eyes are popping! Beautiful! Also AMAZING haul. ❤️
So many great finds! What a fun haul!
Love your tidbits of info as you go through the thrift stores. Where do you find coupons for the thrift store?
“Be healthy or whatever” 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
😆🤣

I vote for The RealReal!

I love this! It will hopefully help me to look for these brands when I go thrifting
I don't pick up Luleroe either...I did years ago if new and cheap enough. I actually just donated several items from old deathpile from my storage unit.
Love when you do thrift hauls. I learn so much. Ty
Wow, you killed the thrift today!! Awesome finds and good luck with the JPG! You look 👍 great!!

My latest was an Alfani men's long-sleeve that I picked up pretty cheaply. I'm usually super careful about checking but while I was photographing it; sure enough, I found a hole.
I would go with the Real Real just to be on the safe side. Great finds all the way around!!!
I've miraculously found Fuzzi a couple times and it's sold really fast for me once on ebay once on posh!
Thanks for sharing 👍🏾😀😊🙂🙏🏽☺! But it was the smile for me when while you where talking about the Rothys find! Oh no! Such a bummer when that happens! And shame on the consignment store selling fakes 😣 I'm sorry that happened to you!
That stinks. I hope you were able to return them! Can you share how they saw they were fake? I’d love to see a video on that subject.
I just got some Rothys last week sold within hours. They wash up so easy in the washing machine.
Love this video, I was cheering for you each time you found something! Can't wait to see what that Jean Paul G sells for!! I am very curious what time of day you went thrifting?? Lol
Great finds! I love your vlogs!!!!!
Hahah😂. what’s up with the red-ish hair with the dress hahah. Glad you are having fun with your finds. Love these videos while I clean my thrift finds.
Fabulous finds! Thanks for sharing!
So exciting!! Love this content. So excited to hear how it does ♥️
Sell the dress on eBay...by the time the RR discounts it and takes their huge cut you won't get the $$$ you will on eBay in record time. Just don't get too greedy with what you're asking.
I think it truly depends on what you will profit off each platform. Do what makes you the most....thats a great find!!

I am looking at the "vintage" Helly Hanson jacket as a sold comp... thinking, that's my jacket!! I guess it's time to upgrade my ski jacket LOL
I still cant believe how many high end brands you are finding in Utah! We have lived there a couple of times now, but I was doing retail arbitrage at the time. Looks like I should have been doing pre-owned! Great video! 🥰
Thrifting is my cardio 🤣
My first find at Marshall’s was two Adidas x Stella McCartney. Luckily I had just seem it mentioned in a vid. Yes more thrifts please.
Amazing finds! I thought I was the only one spendings up to 2 hours in a thrift when finding fabulous items. Thank you for sharing Ashley. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
High fashion suits you. Wear the dress this summer, sell it next year. I'm sure it will hold its value.
Which site will be a greater profit for you? You have to consider the fees before listing.
More! 😊
