My favorite race will always be the Fallen, mainly because I love scrappy survivors. The “wrath of the machine” raid only made me love them even more, because these fallen were willing to modify themselves beyond their capabilities and do some downright crazy shit. What race can say “I ripped out an ogre’s eye and placed it on my gun”
If you think about it, we now have sub-factions: such as Savathun’s Lucent Brood, the Shadow Legion, Taken, Revenant Scorn, Maya’s Choral Vex, and the Nightmares of Luna(which are more nuetral as entities to scare away intruders or used as weapons).
fantastic vid for new players, but the explanation of the scorn might be quite confusing. New players don't know what ahamkara are, who uldren/mara are, what ether is and what the house of kings is made up of. You also threw in Calus, but never explained who he was. Here are some explinations for those who don't know: - Ahamkara are shapeshifting wish dragons that grant monkey's-paw type wishes, and feast off of the misfortune the wisher receives. - Uldren is the prince of the Awoken, and Mara is the Awoken queen and Uldren's sister. The Awoken are one of the 3 playable races in destiny, and the Awoken of the Queen specifically are a faction of them that acts separately from the Vanguard of the City, mostly ruling around the asteroid belt and a nearby black hole born in a catastrophe during humanity's collapse, which they have hidden their home sanctuary within. - Ether is a gaseous substance that helps Fallen breath and provides them with sustenance to grow. - The house of Kings is one of the many houses of the Fallen in our system, others include the house of Devils, wolves, judgement, exile, etc. - Calus is the narcissistic father of empress caiatl, and the old deposed emperor of the Cabal. He was deposed for corruption and for trying to turn the Cabal people from a warrior culture to one entirely built around gluttony. Caiatl was part of the coup that ended his reign, after which he was restrained to his pleasure cruiser the "leviathan" which was sent into the black void of space to let him rot away out of their sight. Fantastic vid otherwise! I'm going share this with a bunch of people.
Husks may actually be Scorn due to The Caretaker on the VoTD raid which was a Scorn with an experimental hive worm attached to it, given Rhulk was still running his own experiments while keeping an eye on savathun. The Witness just took whatever research he had and improved on it. Also, the Husks maybe be what their names imply, and what controls the actual body is the worm itself sort of as a power armor or mech.
The Vex can sort of time travel due to existence of the precursors (vex from the past) and descendants (vex from the future) but they can't alter the past or future due to their inability to simulate anything paracasual.
The Vault of Glass was literally us stopping a subsection of Vex from finally gaining mastery over time itself. We’re lucky it was simply limited to just inside the Vault, but since we got in when we did, the Hezen Protective hadn’t fully mastered time manipulation. However, since the Hezen Protective had managed to create the Oracles, they were able to do super intense calculations that even entire Vex minds would struggle with. Thus, they were able to at least somewhat calculate the time manipulation required to stop us from disrupting the Hezen Protective, were it not for us constantly destroying them from finishing their calculations. The Templar was simply overseeing all this and activating his infamous Ritual of Negation, which would help “negate” the entities marked by the Oracles. And Atheon was responsible for the whole process in the first place, opening the time streams to send us to past or future Venus while also consulting the Oracles to make us lost to time. Of course, we stopped him and the whole Hezen Protective by destroying him. Thus, if the Vex had any use of time travel, we most likely put a stop to it by ending Atheon.
Honestly a really good and informative videos that will surely be a great help to newer players. Looking forward to that video about the campaign bosses!
I like it that Destiny is going down a path of multiple different factions all chasing the same goals. You've got Mara Sundaresh controlling the vex and chasing after more Echoes. You've got Fikrul controlling the scorn and chasing after more Echoes. We will most likely have Xivu Arath also chase after the Echoes with her brood. Ontop of that, you have Savathun who probably wants to do the same with her lucent brood, the vanguard and guardians wanting to go after the echoes as well as Yirix controlling a lot of the shadow legion soldiers and also going on the armsrace after the Echoes. The dread and taken at this point aren't main factions but instead just allies willing to help whoever is powerful enough. Outside of these factions we have,we don't know if any more will join the armsrace since there's speculation about leaving the solar system behind so maybe we find a new species that notices the power of the echoes and wants to claim them for themselves.
Just wanna throw this out there, uldren didn’t have anything wrong with his eyes, he had some sort of taken infection that riven somehow gave him, then riven influenced him to free her.
I wish we would get a forge mode like Halo. That would be the ultimate form of post-game experience for this game. Imagine the creativity of the community and the game modes available, with strikes, crucible, and gambit. It could all fit in lore, too, with the Vexs infinite garden on Mercury.
Personally I doubt the Vex are capable of time travel, because if they had such technology, how come any of us are still alive? My favorite enemy faction has to be the Hive, the lore behind them is really interesting, and it gave us some of the best villains in Destiny history like Oryx and Savathun.
The vex are very much so capable to time travel. The reason we’re still alive is because the vex can’t replicate Paracausality. This limits what they can actually do (kind of plot armor, but it makes sense)
I don’t think there is any evidence that suggests that The Dread existed that long ago. All we know about The Collapse is that it was brought about by The Witness and its Disciples
Sick thumbnail

its sad that bungie is allergic to revamping wrath for whatever reason
@@evidant they are allergic to money, it creates a very dangerous rash that makes it impossible for them to make the right decisions.

Don't forget house salvation

Husks also has the same blood as the Scorn when you shoot their ragdolls.

Last Word Full Auto, great video man!
Yeahh baby
Would’ve been cool if the shadow legion that are working with the new scorn had battered armor that was repaired with scorn armor and stuff
If only this was somewhere in game, good job
Can you make a lore video about the Revision Zero pulse rifle some day in the future?
Fun Fact: tormentors hold personal contempt for you, the player, one day they will find you, and they will get you
We fight 'em off
The seven nation armies can't hold us back

last word full auto - good video, im already aware of all the stuff but this would be great for a new player :)

How could you forget that the dread were the “darkness enemies” that were responsible for attacking humanity during the collapse?
