Just wanted to say thanks for breaking down this style so well. I'm getting into fingerstyle blues, and this was one of the most helpful videos yet. You're one of the few teachers showing how to get the actual bluesy sound out of the guitar and not just the notes. Keep it up.
mamma mia... recorded 10 years ago and I just found it today??? wtf??? found yr deltatips 1&2 ... they are genius ... that's the funkiest groove I think I ever heard ... then landed here tonight... always loved this song ... you sure do an authentic version... very aligned with what I've heard performed before... sound like Eric... I let him know yr ready to stand in for him if he's having a lazy night...
great lesson mate, i was actually looking for an electric version then came across this and then spent the whole day practising your teaching, the lessons made even better by the scouse accent something you never hardly hear on you tube
Great video. You taught me how to fingerpick years ago when you lived in Walton Vale. Do you still teach face to face? I’d love to visit you for more lessons my friend. Thanks Paul
You weren't harsh !!.... just raw a real. And its exactly that rawness, that makes it yours, true and the moment. Thats why they'll love you, even when you dont. We're our own worst critics !! For me, you pass on a wealth of knowledge, that i know i can learn backwards, frontwards, upside-down and any other possible way, except.... never like you. Thats what makes you brilliant bro. Perfection only comes in imperfection!! Now if i could only take my own advice😩..... thanks pal learn a lot.
Great playing. The problem is that you're playing and teaching a complex lick as if you're teaching it to a beginner. A beginner isn't going to learn this. An experienced guitar player gets tired of fast forwarding to manually create an actual slowed down version of events. An expert, of course, would need only your play through, once, and the masters aren't watching at all.
Excellent job! Great playing man. Meanwhile, and with all due respect, it should be pointed out that both KEY TO THE HIGHWAY as well as this variation is actually what we call an EIGHT BAR 'blues ballad' form, as opposed to a twelve bar. 1 bar on the I, 1 bar on the V, 2 bars on the IV -- 1 bar I, 1 bar V, 2 bars of the I... including turnaround. Just thought it might be interesting to point that out. Thanks for posting, picked up a couple of nice licks there!
I would like to order downloads as discs are not pratical for my location..ive been to the site ...don't mind donating..and or paying for material..what the deal?...I see downloads and discs offered ..but no listings for downloads ..help...
What is the make and model of the guitar you use in your videos. I think it's a Martin but what is the model? Looking for a small box guitar little bigger than a parlor.

You sir, are God.
What is the make and model of the guitar you use in your videos. I think it's a Martin but what is the model? Looking for a small box guitar little bigger than a parlor.

waiting in the little wings. Great lesson
...and this really IS the kind of thing you wanna do
obviously very good but why so harsh a twang when you compare it to EC
martin 000-28ec.. not recommended more than medium strings for that guitar
Like.
this guy's guitar always sounds like it's clacking down the railroad tracks
this cat gets more volume from just his fingers than anyone
Powerful yes!...but It's not 12 bar blues.... it's 8 bar.
You are right )
...and you're using a 000-28ec. Definately worth while
oké
The song is actually an 8 bar tune.
you're gonna kill your strings man!
a great lesson...?? how bout the bomb !!
snapper snapwell here lol
sans tablature c'est impossible de jouer
....it's 8 bar, not 12 bar as stated.....I forgive you....
