I've seen Elbow twice, both times in the U.S., and they were truly transcendent experiences. I would still give anything to see them perform this live. Timelessly lovely.
“The loneliness of a tower crane driver” would be perfect in these times, and “The Everthere” would sum up what Elbow has been for all of us 👍 Thanks lads !!!
Listening to this again on the 3rd anniversary of lockdown 1 (23rd March) it still brings much joy and reminds me how great it was to have #elbowrooms releases to look forward to. I watched to the end and watched that news item about the figures from the album cover - I bought my husband a set of those figures for his 50th birthday (albeit much smaller plaster cast versions about 5 or 6 inches high) and they stand proudly on our shelves.
Love it. Pleeease Kindling next. 'I can still taste the heat of the sun on her skin in my arms' the most evocative elbow line ever...and then the exploding golden wheat fields! Spinetingling.
Stunning guys. I'm swimming against the tide here but "The loneliness of a tower crane driver" for me. Much better camera angle this time Guy, At least we can't see the empty pizza boxes and Guinness bottles on the floor. Love to all and stay safe😍
The bedroom performances heal my mornings. We had to cancel our 3 week vacation to the UK. Would have been flying out next week. When we are able to travel again the plan is to jump on a plane and be wherever you are performing. I have seen you ever time you guys come through Toronto but would love to be part of a show in the UK. Much love from across the pond.
Elbow are the bomb,I'm a massive hardcore punk fan, techno , dubstep, rap...no chart shite...but Elbow are fucking bulletproof, such a class act...me n my bird saw em live about 10yr ago we were on ecstasy...they were so fucking good
Ah! Another beautiful song to lift us all up. I'm loving all these mini concerts & also hope you put them in an album. Would definitely buy it. Thanks & take care
One word “brilliant “ As for your next song has to be “ loneliness of a tower crane driver” very app as that was a job I used to do, plus it would be a huge song for my brother Matthew Kennedy. He is a nurse on the ICU at Staffordshire hospital in Stoke. It would be a great thankyou to him and to all those people in our NHS. And just to tell hime we are so proud and love him loads x
Amazing!!! You guys rock and make this times more easier to bear. You know, recently I been thinking that Empires could be an excelent choise for the moment, everything looks dark, but you know what? “Empires crumble all the time.”
How bout Lay down your cross...these days it seems difficult for a lot of people to stand down all the noise created by our modern and fast way of life. It is time to let go all of those burdens, start thinking about changing ourselves into better and kinder persons. Thank you guys, a longtime fan salutes you and sends lot of love ✌🏼
Beautiful. If possible (need trumpeters in?), Captains please, it is a favourite of my wife and I. I wonder, could a short elbowrooms set be streamed live some time as a bit of a remedy for the postponed April gigs? Looking forwards to seeing you in Newcastle upon Tyne when the show goes ahead.
The Everthere for my husband's birthday on 17th April - he's called Kevan, and he'll be my everthere #elbowrooms ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for doing these - they really are a great distraction in a time of such uncertainty 👍
#elbowrooms....you guys are simply amazing! Thank you so much, it definitely helps! Can you do "The Birds"??? My all time favorite song by the band and all time favorite song overall!!!
Give me strength, give me wings. How appropriate. You guys are wonderful. Keep it going guys, you're keeping me sane. My suggestions: *Asleep in the back *The Everthere *Newborn *Anyday Now *The bones of you.
And an additional anecdote, I actually came across Elbow in the Summer of 2004. I was a broadcast music intern in an ad agency in New York (sounds fancier than what it was). One of my assigned tasks was organizing a room full of CDs (upwards of 20K) and developing a catalogue system. My supervisors said, if any album is repeated, you can help yourself to it. I listened to thousands of hours of music and the best album I heard that summer was Cast of Thousands... they only had one copy of the album.... “had” being the operative word. Still one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands. No worries though, I’ve bought every album since. Cheers
Thank you so much for doing this! Thank you so much for reaching out. On a personal note : "Friend of ours" will be amazing, it is already such a comforting song as is...
Can you guys just do ALL of your songs like this, while we are locked up please? You are bringing so much happiness. 😍 That's just a little (big ?) request from a tired RN loving your music to decompress to. I'm smiling right now.... Ah....thank you...😍 LOVING those little figurines hanging from the ledge by that little door above your head, by the way. They have the best seat in the house. LOL
Loved this song, not one I was overly familiar with but sounds amazing. My son Thomas, who is 6, is possibly your biggest fan and he’d loved to hear My Trouble. We’d (I’d) also like to hear Dear Friends or Mirrorball. These videos are a real highlight of our lockdown. We’re in for 12 weeks so it’s really something to look forward to. Hope you and your families are keeping safe chaps, really appreciate your work 👍👍👍 Thanks, Rob.
Just brilliant. I was going to request this! Love the 'Cast of Thousands' figures on Craig's piano... didn't they make an appearance in the video for 'Fugitive Motel'? Ok, I'll request 'The Bones of You'
Certainly a request! Wichita Lineman! Or, if you prefer to sing your own songs: Usually Bright (from the Lost Worker Bee ep). Thanks! And hope to see you guys in October 2021 in Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam. Stay well!
Bones of you. Watching you at the BBC Orchestra. Perfect performances without a doubt. At one point you could see Guy looking at the other band member to say "we nailed this to peak perfection mate"
Station Approach? The feeling of coming together with people in that song gives me all the feels.... Also, that album sold my wife on Elbow from the intro of this song, she simply said "You had me at chang, chang, chang" (the guitar chord strums at the start.
Panacamanana I agree it’s an amazing song - one of my favourites by Elbow - but given that it’s about assisted suicide, it might not be the wisest of choices at the moment.
@@Nigey01 I got the impression from his interview it was about life flashing before your eyes and getting to chose the last memory before you pass. And in the song he choses the time he spent in that room with a girl. Not specifically about assisted suicide.
In all honesty I am not very familiar with this song - and I love Elbow, but that was phenomenal and seemed me to be poignant in these times we are living in - brightened my world today - thanks chaps 👍
A bit of Kindling would go down a treat. As someone who commuted by train Kindling always strikes a chord with me, especially as my loved one would always be waiting there at the station at the end.
Listening to Elbow is like slipping into a dream where you decide the theme.
Ridiculous how perfect these performances are. Absolutely beautiful.
Please release this collection as album for the NHS staff charity as they are going to need our support long after this current crisis is over!
Great shout Mark
GREAT idea...I’d buy it in an instant 👍
That's a great idea. I shell out for that in a heartbeat.
Would absolutely love that, great idea, not only would you be giving money to a amazing cause but you'd also own a stunning heartfelt album
Great idea, I’d buy it

I wholeheartedly agree sir!!!! Best song ever from the best band ever!

The beauty of using a orchestra. Just wonderful..
The loneliness of a tower crane driver pls! That would be undefeated!
Love it. Pleeease Kindling next. 'I can still taste the heat of the sun on her skin in my arms' the most evocative elbow line ever...and then the exploding golden wheat fields! Spinetingling.
En een circelzaag waar ik een hart zou moeten hebben!
Yes please, "Kindling"!!
One of my all time favourite Elbow songs. Thanks chaps, this was awesome
Love the casts on Craig's piano.Nice touch!

Can't stop watching all if these tracks from the whole album. A true Masterpiece !!

Brilliant. Thank you for this lovely gift. Would love to hear Seldom Seen Kid 🌝

Another beautiful share. My request would be “Asleep in the Back” or “Rib Cage” because I think we all need to let the sun inside. Cheers

+1 for The Everthere. I've NEVER heard a song with more beautiful lyrics about growing old with someone.
@@Nigey01 totally agree
