Underrated, I genuinely appreciate the quick and very detailed video. I wouldn't have known to press the red button to stop the bus (Grew up with a red button being emergency stop or fire latch or something).
Very helpful video! I am so confuse between STP & HFC. I will be travelling in Sept for 12 days. Will be visiting Lucerne, Jungfrau Region, Zermat & Zurich. I have a question though. Does the HFC covers the panoramic trains?
STP you can hop on & off any trains without buying tickets as it covers them. But HFC you need to still always manually buy your tickets, but you'll get it at half price, that includes half price on panoramic trains!
Thanks Yvette.very efficient video. You use SBB APP to purchase even tram/bus tickets. In this case, is it the same as when you were in Zurich using ZVV to purchase tram/ bus tickets?
Hi! Loved the video, it's the first one that actually shows what it's like to board and I really appreciate that! One question, how/where do you buy your bus ticket? Is it once you are inside or is it in the SBB app as well? Thank you so much!
Aww thank you for watching !! 🥹❤️🤭 You can purchase tickets at the ticket machine at the bus stops, tram stops & train stops, but SBB is really convenient you can buy all tickets there 🥰
Very clear instruction by singaporean for singaporean!! But there are some questions I have, if we buy the ticket using the mobile app, does it show the seat number? wouldn't we be sitting on someone else place if we "just get on and show the QRCODE"? Secondly, If we are using EURAIL GLOBAL PASS, it says we can use it on any SBB train, but seemed like it does not cover grindlewald or jungfrau. Do you know what is the benefit of having EURAIL at Interlaken? If I am going to be at Interlaken for 3 days, is getting half fare pass and Berner Oberland pass the best option? Seemed a bit waste as we will be out of swiss after the 3rd day. Many videos are not too clear and I find your video the clearest.
Hello fellow countryman, thank you for your kind compliments it means THE WORLD to me 🥹❤️🫶🏻 1. Personally, from my experience as far, on the swiss trains I never had to reserve a seat, there's always enough space for everyone! It's not compulsory to reserve a seat for intercity trains. The only scenario I would figure for seat reservations would be for touristic trains such as the Bernina Express, Albula Express, Glacier Express or Voralpen Express and Treno Gottardo etc, in this case you can't reserve on the app, usually only from official sites ! & fret not, if someone did reserve a seat on the normal trains, there will be signs saying reserved so likely you will not encounter issues like that.
2. I feel that EURAIL GLOBAL PASS is worth it only when you are also travelling in other europe countries apart from switzerland. You get 25% off majority of mountain excursions in the bernese oberland area. Bernese oberland pass is available in 3 days period, & gives you access to more than 25 mountain railways. But jungfrau is still a special priced ticket. So in this case, my humble opinion is that it really boils down to where are the places you wanna go during this visit. If you are a huge mountain lover & know that you'll visit ALOT of peaks/popular places like lauterbrunnen, grindelwald across 3 days, bernese oberland pass is better than EURAIL. But then again, will you be able to squeeze so many places in 3 days of visit? If you're only going like a few mountain peaks, EURAIL will suffice. really need to plan specific destinations & weigh out your total cost. I hope this helps!
Hi Yvette, Highly appreciate your quick reply and clear information. both your replies beats watching all those other youtuber on europe or the US. Wish you success on your youtube journey, do more localised recommendation such as where to eat, cheap and nice food, how to visit non touristic places, taking public transport etc... these helps asian to plan and be prepared before actually going there. (Typical singaporean style) @@YVETTEINSWITZERLAND

Hello Yvette . We are planning to stay 4 nights in interlaken and 2 nights in zermatt . Not planning to go for Jungfrau . Should I buy half fare card and saver day pass for the time we will stay in interlaken ? Is Bernese Oberland pass necessary?
We are traveling with my kids below 16 years old. We plan to visit Interlaken from Zurich. Stay 2 nights at interlaken and back to Zurich. What pass should we purchase in advance?
If you're looking for a more fuss free experience, getting the Swiss Travel Pass for certain days will be much more convenient since you're travelling with kids! 🥰 Just need to hop on & off trains, don't need to always purchase tickets before boarding.
Yes STP covers the train rides. There are three ways to travel to Grindelwald from Wengen or vice versa: Train Wengen-Lauterbrunnen-Zweilütschinen-Grindelwald (free with Swiss Travel Pass) Train Wengen-Kleine Scheidegg-Grindelwald (25% discount with Swiss Travel Pass) Cable car Wengen-Männlichen, then gondola Männlichen-Grindelwald Grund, then train Grindelwald Grund to Grindelwald (50% discount on cable car and gondola; 25% discount on train).
very well done dear. I suppose that I am most lucky guy if i have to travel in switzerland that is to have you as my private travel guide😁😁😁😁😁😁Suggestion how about doing a chinese version to cater for those chinese speaking travellers. love you 💖💖
Evening, My Dearest Yvette 🌸🌸;) AMAZING conversation about transportation in SWITZERLAND 🇨🇭 Very interesting, my dear 🥰 WELL DONE 🥳🎉🎊 It looks exactly like in Singapore! We're always do the same thing 😇 1) MRT. Using Exlink card to take any stations you want to go but need to top up how much you want. 2) BUS. Take a quite time to wait till bus arrived. Finding seats is a little bit difficult to find because sometimes crowded & squeezy to stand up at the city area. 3) TAXI. They like to take a taxi but instead taking MRT or Bus. Sometime they using GRAB or TADA app is faster than regular taxi, they paid cash or online pay to get their transportation!
