The biggest hinderance is the bizarre way oblivion merchants work. You can sell a million apples at value, but good luck offloading an artifact and getting even a quarter of its value. All thats just oblivion though, great job with the kleptomania!
@@GitshiverYeah I mean Blackberries sell for 1 Gold per piece and an iron dagger sells for something like 17 gold, meaning 17 blackberries are worth a dagger. Honestly everything in oblivion kinda weird which is why I love it and thanks by the way!
Allegedly the Baker you were talking about at 12:27 had a quirk with his coding, where if he ever got a sweetroll, he'd eat it and then crash the game. Hence why he never carries them with him, or even has them at all.
@@GethSouls I find things out all the time, and I always thought I had this game figured out lol. I ate, slept and breathed Oblivion growing up. There’s always a surprise or something that comes to light, learn something new all the time I feel like lol
Ironically food might be some of the most profitable items to steal for an Alchemy/thief character, since it can all be used to make valuable potions, and food are some of the only items to regularly respawn (since eating is required for NPCs in their schedule)
@@D0P3NA5TY Oh definitely! If the video wasn't me just making money purely of stealing, making potions would've been an easy cash-creator Just selling it though...Ergh...I never want to go through it again. It gets dull after the 100th apple lol.
@@GethSouls Definitely with the way mercantile works in Oblivion (although the shop interface has never been great in TES) a junk button would be great, and I think MW's stolen item system is better
14:20 pro tip, you can steal the staves and jewelry that are in the unbreakable display containers by using an AOE projectile spell like Weak Fireball to knock them outside. great way to get quick fence money from rindir's staves or some jewelry stores
@@gapjain Hope you pick it up, been playing it for 19 years. I recommend you read a guide online first however as some elements are confusing. Thanks for for watching
Good question! Yes and no. A near 99% majority of the items you find in towns that aren't looted from NPC's do NOT change at all. (Swords and equipment decorations from blacksmiths for example) there is only two exceptions to this that I found. Jewelry Boxes and wardobes belonging to noble figures (count's for example). They seem exempt from this and have a chance at high levels to spawn enchanted rings in the case of the jewlery boxes and enchanted clothes in the case of the noble wardrobes. In my experience this happens maybe around level 18, but that's a guess

@@countnerd That's so odd. Now I need to do a deep dive on Salmo. Thank you

Anvil is clearly the best city as it's home to Norbert Lelles, and he's called *Norbert* ffs. I dont know what else anyone could want.
You're really gonna do my boy Toutius Sextius that way, huh?

nice work brodai.
Oblivion City tier list when?
@@D0P3NA5TY Good idea! Soon
You should upload that 28 h long vid, it'll get a lot more views I guarantee
Did you steal the souls of those you tormented with your kleptomania also?
@@ThePaperKhan Good question! Technically since I stole 2 black souls gems, yes I did
Is loot in town leveled? If you did this at max level vs early game, would you end up with higher quality items?
