Connor needed someone to steer him down the right path. Hank needed someone that gave him a reason to keep going and to live. Wish we saw more of their story tbh. Don’t get me wrong I loved both Markus’s and Kara’s story but I just think that Connor could’ve gotten a little more. Man I don’t think I’ll ever get tired about talking about how much I love this game!

I usually see it as Markus this Markus that and Kara going to Canadabut I don't care about an android revolution or family running towards better life. What I care about is a dead man trying to find out how to live again through a genuine connection with an android that turns from his partner to his son. I NEED THEIR STORY TO CONTINUE...

When I was playing this game, Markus’s campaign got me bored.... I was always waiting for more Connor story. Every time Connors story started I was like “yea finally, let’s go” but when Kara’s or Markus’s story started I was like “ oh no it’s him/her again....” too bad there is no option to play as Connor only. I hope there will be some type of DLC’s especially how popular and cool Connor turned out to be.

And + Hank kind of gets to see how all of this happens. He can see deviancy progress in Connor step by step. Of course, if you just meet a machine that's become fully sentient and started thinking for itself, it's scary. Considering also that all of the deviants before getting a leader in the face of Markus were wild and uncontrollable loners, who would have killed anybody to just stay alive and actually did that. But here, Hank just takes android Connor by the hand and walks with him every step of the road to human Connor. C'mon, when you hear this "I was scared" or "I just couldn't shoot her", you can't help but feel sympathy towards him. And of course considering him a soulless machine is off the table after this. You just see a naive lost boy with all the human weaknesses. And of course Hank couldn't have gotten past that. (Damn, I can ramble on about this bromance for hours. Somebody should stop me, really, so I don't forget to sleep, eat and, eventually, breath)

And Connor is somewhat naive in picking up social cues, which could be something Cole had, whether it's simply because he was a child or something he was born with. Connor and Hank made the most impact on android-human relationship should you goes friendly with him. All 3 MCs made their family at the end but Connor is the only one befriended a human and built father-son like relationship. Hank is also one of the first human devoted his life to help an android. The android who built for destroying androids who wants to be human, ironically ends up being the bridge between human and free-willed androids.

(People ship Hank and Connor romantically a lot... Which is just really weird to me partially because they clearly have a familial relationship, and partially because Hank must be much much older than Connor - who had the brain capacity and appearance of a (young) adult, emotional comprehension of a teen and life experience of a child. 2 years later and I'm lowkey still sad because I wanted more Connor and Hank chapters in the game 😭 Markus leading the deviants, finding love and friendship along the way and Kara building her own family in a dangerous struggle to get cross the border- they all sound amazing, definitely impactful. But I wanted a longer story of the man who lost his son and got addicted to drinking until he passes out, eating unhealthy foods in hopes that it'll kill him because he's not brave enough to pull the trigger- who then meets an android that was nothing but a machine in the beginning that starts to question who he really is, an android that will fight to stay alive and is scared to die- an android that's confused on what his purpose actually is. Hank lived his life in lonely misery while Connor was built and sent out by Cyberlife, both were partnered together and in that journey, Hank got himself a son and Connor got himself a dad and freedom.
1:24 always fucks me up because of how shaken Connor is, his voice sounds shot like he was getting ready to cry and he looks so shaken up (I know it’s because he got traumatized) Hank giving him the knowing look pushes the emotion so much more too

How the actor or developer sees the other actor or the characters has nothing to do with the game and the characters in game... with how painfully direct Cage is sometimes, if he wanted to really portray them as father son, the game would have shown that, in a very cringy way most probably. But Cage actually did a smart thing: leaving their relationship in game ambigous enough so that people can believe what they want and give their own meaning. The only canon is still the game and there they are friends.

Out of the three main storylines, Hank and Conner have the best story and character dynamics with each other. It genuinely feels good to see their relationship in action.

Connor and Hank made the most impact on android-human relationship should you goes friendly with him. All 3 MCs made their family at the end but Connor is the only one befriended a human and built father-son like relationship. Hank is also one of the first human devoted his life to help an android. The android who built for destroying androids who wants to be human, ironically ends up being the bridge between human and free-willed androids.
At kamski’s after hank said he did the right thing he walked away with a smile and trotting along like he taught his son a valuable lesson. It warms my heart every time.

(People ship Hank and Connor romantically a lot... Which is just really weird to me partially because they clearly have a familial relationship, and partially because Hank must be much much older than Connor - who had the brain capacity and appearance of a (young) adult, emotional comprehension of a teen and life experience of a child. It's just really weird to me.)

2 years later and I'm lowkey still sad because I wanted more Connor and Hank chapters in the game 😭 Markus leading the deviants, finding love and friendship along the way and Kara building her own family in a dangerous struggle to get cross the border- they all sound amazing, definitely impactful. But I wanted a longer story of the man who lost his son and got addicted to drinking until he passes out, eating unhealthy foods in hopes that it'll kill him because he's not brave enough to pull the trigger- who then meets an android that was nothing but a machine in the beginning that starts to question who he really is, an android that will fight to stay alive and is scared to die- an android that's confused on what his purpose actually is.
Hank lived his life in lonely misery while Connor was built and sent out by Cyberlife, both were partnered together and in that journey, Hank got himself a son and Connor got himself a dad and freedom.
1:24 always fucks me up because of how shaken Connor is, his voice sounds shot like he was getting ready to cry and he looks so shaken up (I know it’s because he got traumatized) Hank giving him the knowing look pushes the emotion so much more too

How the actor or developer sees the other actor or the characters has nothing to do with the game and the characters in game... with how painfully direct Cage is sometimes, if he wanted to really portray them as father son, the game would have shown that, in a very cringy way most probably. But Cage actually did a smart thing: leaving their relationship in game ambigous enough so that people can believe what they want and give their own meaning.
The only canon is still the game and there they are friends.

Out of the three main storylines, Hank and Conner have the best story and character dynamics with each other. It genuinely feels good to see their relationship in action.
At first I was going for Mission First and save the humans. Then I met Hank, and made Connor a deviant.
Hank is now Connor's Dad.
It's nothing huge, but I recently realised that when Hank hugs Connor at the end, he's got a hand on the back of Connor's head UGH I love them so much
