I just realize Infinite Wealth is just Kiwami/1 in reverse way. I just start to love how they give Ichiban challenge “Here, Now you’re gonna face what Kiryu face back then. Let’s see how you solve it”.
I just beat the game. Imo one of the weaker main plots. Feels like too many plot threads and characters that didn't really mesh into one strong cohesive story. The game shined in just how much content there is, and the charm of its leads.
Finished it last night and this was like always a great explanation. “Kiryu Ronaldo kicks a desk chair into this man’s back” “Yamai and his body positivity ladies” too many hilarious lines. 😂 I beleive Kiryu will be in the next game but He will marry Sayama and chill with Haruka as Ichiban takes the full time lead role.
This game was a fucking rollercoaster. The last scene with haruka haruto and kiryu where our boy kiryu FINALLY takes his name back and now has the will to live!! It fucking made me cry fr 😭. My favourite dynamic intro was prolly sawashiro or ebina wbu? Also i have to say that ebina and bryce didnt live up to expectations, but they were alright. You think hanawa will comeback tho?
RGG really going to have to pull something out of their ass to bring Hanawa back, but if anyone can do it, they can. Next game will definitely be interesting for sure.
Another outstanding video, also completey agree with you. Yong Yea shouldn't be voice acting for this series absolutely no range or emotion. He should stick to propegating video game news platitudes on his channel.

No disrespect, but Yong voice compared to the previous Kiryu Japanese voice actor was like going in expecting The Dark Knight CB and getting The Batman played by Twilight lead actor.

The fact that Ichiban strong lifts a 90 year old dude means he's got 1/3 of Kiryu's strength. Gotta love the KO sfx from SF4 from Kiryu performing the Joryuken (Shoryuken)
I was let down by IW’s story. Most of everything besides a few character arcs felt unresolved. The resolution of the Kasuga and Saeko romance was what put the nail in the coffin for this game’s weak story.
Another awesome Review of story as always! Heehe.. I will have to disagree. I didn't mind the new Kiryu voice actor , but I can understand why some might not like them. The joys of references to Bruce. I was kinda wondering if there was going to be a reference to shark jumping (wait, nevermind.. Jaws jumping in) but not going there is also good! I'm convinced if we were to give Ichi a class in D&D 5th edition, he's a damn Paladin of the Oath of Redemption. I am kind of surprised you didn't mention the first time a Helicopter was useful (Airlift of Kiryu)... though it wasn't being flown by Date or similar so fair!
Helicopters dont count unless youre fighting through millenium tower. 🤣 Glad you enjoyed the video. I did have more jokes and content in the first draft but it made the video way too long. Trying to keep these "concise" as difficult as it might be for this franchise. Lol

Thanks again for the awesome video! It has been an amazing ride watching your videos and playing through the Yakuza games. This was like the video game equivalent of playing through Game of Thrones. Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is my favorite game play wise the RPG mechanism are much easier to learn. Ichiban is so different from Kiryu but they are both Dragons in their own way.
Happy to hear you're still enjoying them! I'm a big fan of Ichi too and am very curious to see where the series goes. Very impressed with how they can make someone so different from Kiryu, yet just as compelling of a character.

I was pleasantly surprised about Yamai, and personally like his history and character development. He would be an interesting add in future games.
