I, too, had a doctor's visit yesterday. Went out to eat afterwards. So glad we have replays and can catch up. My order arrived. I also wrote Yasutomo and told them I'd seen some of their product on one of your lives and could they send me a sample, they responded and I did receive a washi swatch book. Can't wait to try them sometime soon. I attempted doing transfers a while back . I'd used some laser prints from the giveaway. Tried printing some on my laser. Also tried some magazines. It was not going well. I finally watched a couple videos and tried again. Found I was putting down too much paint and then leaving the image on too long as I kept pulling up all the paint. Less paint, put it down swipe, swipe (like 10 seconds or less) and boom I finally got one. As you all have said, put 'er down - get 'er up. Need to give it another try. 'Tis tricky for sure. Looking forward to Thursday's Thoughts.
Well, it helped and I knew that but I think the real problem was with the image--it was too faint and not enough contrast. Thank you for hanging in there! :)
Watching the repay now... the print at exactly one hour into the stream looks like water and muck under a sewer drain vent thing. Gorgeous!!!! At first I thought you had printed over more scrapbook paper, but no! It was all paint!! So vucan cool!!!
Thanks Mariah and P! Watched on replay! Thank you so much for taking your time to go over altering papers! I appreciate it very much. I think my major issue was for one, using color shift colors that were not translucent enough, for sure! I love the magenta color P used, with the blue. Also, my fluid paint dries so quick so I will get and use some airbrush medium with it when I get back from vacay.❤
Thumsie upsies is hubby's new phrase. Think we'll have him singing along soon 😂😂😂. @Mariah I meant to say have you tried putting embossing powder on previously embossed items while they are still warm (doesn't need reinking) or reheating so its sticky before adding powder layer 2. Works well for me. I forgot to mention on the previous video 😮 remembered at 2am!
I love that you pronounced my name correctly. most people don’t. I’m looking forward to getting your scraps. I’m new to gel plate printing and am trying to learn from you. Ps. The paper with all the texture is old architect’s paper. And a couple others are the paper from exam tables at the doctor’s office.
Couldn’t watch live cuz I was getting a PET scan, getting pricked and stuck by 3 phlebotomists before succeeding😳!! Fingers crossed all will turn out okay!
I struggle with transfers and loved watching P do these. I have yet to have a successful transfer. Way to go P for hanging in there.
I was very frustrated! Thank you for understanding:)
Early disappontments followed by delightful surprises, great results P!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was ready to throw in the towel!!!
It was fascinating watching you both transferring images on the gel plate. I have never attempted it.
The paper that P wanted to be 2 sheets (with the leaf pattern) is gorgeous! Kudos to whoever created it!
Right?! It was made by DevonRex4Art
Catching up on the replay!!
Thank you 😊
Watching replay☺

Yes, the timing and paint is everything. I think I must have a go at it again too!
I will do it again...sometime:)
Good ending!
I love it when we can get the result by the end. Thank you

Lovely stream, seeing P’s struggle I sar here in the replay saying stop rubbing hurry up, use normal Amsterdam paint.
Yes exactly.... I think this coming Monday I am going to attempt transfers.

I have tried... need to prefect my timing though. I will keep at it.
The print P pulled on 59:46 did she do that one on a stream ..it’s a fabulous print… love it looks very intricate 🤪
Thank you so much Reni!
It was partially done during a prior stream...I did add some layers to it off screen as I have been known to do. Thank you!
I love that you pronounced my name correctly. most people don’t.

Hello Jose
It is the moon, it’s real. Lots of babies born during full moons but not transfers. Lol
