This was actually something a friend and I did getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh. It was such a blast, but it also led to us getting back in harder and sinking more money than expected
After hearing Paul talk about how much he loves Rokkets for a while now, this video made me want to pull the trigger and build Rokkets too. The Borrel dragons are just too good.
Larry forgot to add the 2 spell counters from the pendulum eff and on top of that he forgot to use endymion's destruction eff. To be fair though, he has way too much card text so I don't blame him for not reading it all.

Ocean Dragon Lord Neo Daedalus was my jam back in the day! Ran it in a Legendary Ocean deck. We used to have "theme deck" tournaments at the card shop after the standard tournaments. Got to see all sorts of silly/theme decks lmao!
Order of the spellcasters was my first deck when me and my friend got into Yugioh. I’ve after so much trading and buying cards a spellcaster deck turned into a blue eyes deck
Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon back in the day was a cool boss monster for me, speaking on that, The Red-Eyes Deck Vs The Vampire Deck when those themed decks first started dropping, still remember those days.
I think this video made me realise why rokkets seem to be such a beloved deck by more casual players, I often play them competitively but this shows the difference between how the 2 types of players... They seem really broken how they replace themselves every turn and they have a tonne of good link monsters and are dragons so have tonnes of generic cards, it was really interesting to see nice video.
On time stamp 11:00 you used squib draw to send rokket tracer to GY but THEN you used rokket tracer’s effect to destroy squib draw but since the thing that was played last goes first you couldn’t have drawn 2 cards you could only get another rokket from the deck.
To answer your question at the end, my favourite structure deck boss monster is Odd Eyes Absolute Dragon. He's basically utopia that revives Odd Eyes, which is really good.
I would love to see the realm of light structure deck played to see how a Lightsworn deck would work at some point if possible thanks guys and great content? I'm an old school player coming back to the game after many years teaching my son to play and watching your videos are greatly helpful and a joy to watch keep it up!
In game 1, they forgot to give endymion 2 spell counters for popping two cards on summon, and having a counter makes him immune to destruction effects.
Some boss monsters from structure decks I love are Ultimate Conductor Tyranno and Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon. I think a duel between those two structure decks would be pretty entertaining as well.
Ultimate Conductor Tyranno is broken for sure, lol. Attacking for 3500, and it can attack all of the opponents' monsters one time is basically a board wipe in monster form. Change the monsters to defense mode. If it hits a monster in defense, then you can hit the opponent for 1,000!? This boss monster does it all. It's been eating through my blie eyes deck like it was nothing lol. I have the cards for the zombie horde deck, so maybe that will do better
This is why I'd rather duel with a Structure deck and maybe a pack or two for hopeful supplementation.... I think I'd lose my mind trying to actually make a real life deck.. I already damn near lose it making one in a video game like Legacy of The Duel
My favorite boss monster in a structure deck is probably Borreload Furious Dragon because I've been playing Rokkets for almost a year now and I love them to death. Also, Keeper of the Shrine is seen as a 1 of in some high level competitive Rokket lists
My personal favorite was the Gemini deck. Loved Normal monsters and thought an archetype where you could choose whether monsters were normal or special was a cool idea and got me into other card games with fun summoning/changing states like Vanguard and soon the new Digimon game.
Two years late but I love my Chemicritters with generic gemini support. Teched in Pendulum Call and 2 magicians to help get bodies on board. Technically.. Tenyi might also work with the strategy... either way, I love geminis
Just recently subscribed and scrolling through your videos. I had stopped playing at the beginning of 5Ds. Love the structure deck duels. I played Endymion on legacy of the duelist during the pandemic and after buying the structure deck, I agree that some of those cards are so random. As the title suggests, the decks were certainly uneven. With some swap outs, this would be much different. Keep up the great videos!
For years, I adored Super Conductor Tyranno from the old school dino structure deck until Dinosmasher's Fury came along and gave us Ultimate Conductor Tyranno. Now he's my favorite boss monster, though I still have my original Super Conductor Tyranno copy.
Dark Eradicator Warlock from Spellcasters Judgement. Cards like magical blast with its recycle ability, you can drop your opponent 1200 per turn. Plus you can apply damage when your opponent plays normal spells too.
watching these structure deck duels is like watching OG yugioh with new mechanics. Its like back in the day when nobody had 3 ofs or crazy combos. Just good old fashioned beatsticks, a few spells and traps and working with what u got for fun
Larry is back hell yeah! 😄 A great match! I really like Borreload Furious Dragon it's just a shame that Rockets don't get their bonus effects when targeted by it.
I have both of them! Endymion has low protection for its field spell, which is its main support. It still performs well but only with Endymion boss monster. But rokkets are strong, they get borreload dragon quickly.
order of the spellcasters was my first ever structure deck and i loved it. when i linked summoned for the first time my friend looked at me like “what?” but i lost a lot of the cards for the deck and never bought another one. eventually, i picked up rokket revolt and thats my current deck. i added some other cards to it to fit my play style but its pretty good nonetheless
I found this neat little annoying quirk with Rokket Revolt. All you need is Rokket Recharger and Booster Dragon. Booster Dragon's effect allows the user to special summon a dark type dragon the turn it is destroyed, if you have Rokket recharger in the grave, you can use Booster dragon to bring it back, then tribute recharger to bring back Booster Dragon. It makes Booster Dragon damn near immortal.
Hey just an idea but your next Structure Deck duel could be Dinosmasher's Fury vs HERO Strike. Paul you got me so into Rokkets you have inspired me to start again and build my own Rokket deck, I love the effect of Shellrokket Dragon, it's like an artillery shell that blows up all around where it lands.
This reminds me of my first dual after coming back to Yu-Gi-Oh after not playing for a long time, I was playing using a deck made of 3 Endymion structure decks and my friend was playing using a deck made of 3 rokket structure decks.
These too decks are the definition of “how about I f up your day in more then one way”. But that rokket deck with it’s themed support is something else that would give most decks a real run for their money.
I used to love yugioh as a kid, our school librarian used to always keep desks for "card players" (I think she was just glad less kids were messing around and causing trouble). Anyway I just went on a structure deck buying binge, I blame le furlough, must have bought 2 of all the structure decks available, only thing is, why is everything so complicated? And did they make the cards smaller? Love your channel 😍
Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon(purely Nostalgia) is my favourite Structure Deck Boss. I honestly feel like these decks weren't meant to be used out of the box, but rather made from three copies of the SD. The filler in the Spellcaster deck really shows.
Thats exactly what your supposed to do. If your getting into mondern Yu-Gi-Oh find a good structure deck and buy 3 copies off it. Then you have a play set of all the key card. Go from there buy looking up builds and staple cards to improve the deck and boom your off to an amazing start. Hell your off to a better start then a lot of players by just buying 3 of the structure decks
I don't know what Konami was thinking when they designed the Endymion deck, it took me a year to find cards that were decent enough to make it effective. They might as well have added in Dark Renewal or Power of the Guardians for hell's sake.

Team APS, Please consider bringing back Budget Decks to invest in for new players. I like seeing them even if some may be dated since some cards see success and later grow in price.
Ok I want Rokket Revolt cause I just got around to watching Vrains (as of typing this I am on season 2) and Revolvers awesome. So when I get the deck should I put white or lime green sleeves on it.
Endymion gains spell counters equal to the number of cards it destroyed from its effect meaning in the first duel Endymion would've stayed but the hand he had wasn't good either way.
The one that came out around the time I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh. It would have to be ultimate conductor tyranno. It was broken I felt bad about using it and eventually saw that it got worse when it started winning tournaments.
I love the new machina that came out. Immediately bought a play set of the deck. And I've also loved and been playing endymion since it was released way back in the day so you already know who I'm voting for.
I want to see you play with the original structure decks, Yugi and Kiaba. I would love to see your comments on how much the game has changed and how bad those old decks were.
Brush I just love how easy it can be to pop off with a structure deck like its ment to help beginning players but you can pop off with almost no problems
I play both of these. Also, question. I noticed you guys play with card sleeves that are solid color. I have my decks in a bunch of old card sleeves, ones with designs. One of them has decode talker on it, the other has a card from Cardfight! Vanguard that I know nothing about. If I were to bring these decks with current sleeves to locals, is it a problem that I have card sleeves with designs? Favorite boss monster, Endymion the Mighty Master of Magic. I love Endymion.
Ronald McFarlane thanks for also keeping track of the rules in the last 3 videos I’ve watched where they played only using spells and another video where they played only using traps in the other video where they only use monsters they managed to cheat in those videos too.
