I love this so much, omg. Would love more like this, especially with the real "point of view" camera. POV, you're Mrs Crocombe's kitchen maid, anyone???
Tasting History has done multiple videos on food and drink during this period, including knights in general and the Knights Templar specifically and tournaments. His medieval and Renaissance playlist is great
He was fed regularly, had a bed, clothing, education, health care for the time, and was fairly safe. Plus he had a career. That's as good as it got. Most people didn't get so much social security and still got abused.
What? Being a squire was an apprenticeship. That's how you learnt enough to become a knight, if you were good enough. It was a system based on merit. If you weren't good enough you wouldn't have progressed beyond page.

I like that you included the time requirements snd used pov correctly
Now we need to see this from the perspective of Mrs. Crocombe training her kitchen maids.
YES YES YES!
I am continuously impressed by the quality and variety of content that you come up with! Each video is a joy
Thank you for your comment, we're so glad you enjoy our channel!
What was the saying again? We're british - we only show affection to dogs and horses...😅
The way I’d get immediately banished from the castle because I’d snap back at my liege
Next time can we see the POV of a squire good at his job?
I second this!

Team squires for the win! 💪
Now I think I have visited here years ago with my parents when there was an event going on. Where is the place?

I think I would hate to have been a squire.
0:33 King Henry VIII?!
people are so mean to squires
Poor squire. The class system, abuse of children and feudalism was a terrible era in history.
Pretty much all eras in history were terrible and gruesome. They’ll say they same aout us in the future.
