I love their whole exchange about not being able to keep him and how Elliot really not so secretly wants a boy. The car accident is such a tense moment in the episode. Definitely one of the most rewatchable ones. I still gasp at the car accident, even when I know it’s coming!
To me, the worst crime wasn't that she lied to her husband about Tommy being his. It was the fact that, as far as Tommy knew, her husband WAS his dad, and he clearly loved him - and her husband loved her son... And she was going to take all that away from both of them just to be with her f-toy. How selfish a mom could you be??

The cheating wife had always stuck out to me ever since I came across this episode. I think it's complete BS how the wife didn't actually know who her son's father was until the police intervened. I always believed she was going to abandon Tommy if he was the husband's child and focus on her "new life" with her boyfriend after divorce. It seemed she only wanted to take legal custody of Tommy after the divorce just because she knows now that her boyfriend is the father. It's really sad how she didn't think ahead that her cheating behavior was an immediate red flag to her child's well-being because she was setting a bad example to him. It must have been a nightmare for the child to lose his father and move in with a complete stranger who was never a part of his life. It was a BS move on the boyfriend to immediately get involved and assume Tommy would get along with him.😢

Don't forget she's also at fault for getting the nanny involved. Even if she was never murdered, Tommy still reacted confused regardless because he was told that he'd be home with mom all day. Who knows how the nanny would have done/said if the husband came home earlier than expected.😮
