    I have a 12ga and a 20ga B2000. Both are reliable and a pleasure to shoot. The loading port is on the side and the capacity is five shells. The downside of both guns is the cleaning of the gas system. In my opinion, they were over engineered but I still love them.

      Thank you for your comment. The B80 is great because it is actually a Beretta. Beretta make the best gas autos, enjoy. Kind regards, Matthew

    I have owned two of the B-80 's Browning and the only problem I had with them is they were up land game bird guns. They both shot high thus presenting a problem for me. I noticed the rear of the stocks were not cut at 90 degrees making them shoot high. I had the stocks cut to 90 degrees and this fixed the problem it lower their point of impact. They made wonderful guns for me. Wonderful video. 😊😊

    Thanks for that. I've had mine since 1988. Have used it at nearly every shooting discipline bar pheasant shooting. Still use it and it's never gave one bit of trouble. Aesthetically not to everyone's taste. I'll never give mine up. Great to hear about its history and development. Looking forward to your next review.

    7:43 I'm pretty sure Beretta advises against releasing the bolt, if the barrel is not in place. Nice gun btw, i used to own the A390.

    My mate had a B 80 28" fixed 1/2 choke OK but it jammed a bit cartridge fussy and he cleaned it well , I think people under estimate the new Browning Maxus ,I think they are the most reliable gun ever ,got a 1&2 a pleasure to shoot. we have even had it shooting 21g get that.😊😊

    Oh, what tangled webs we weave. Yes, Browning was desperate to produce a successful gas operated semi-auto after the failure of the B2000. If I remember correctly, the deal to share technology happened after FN was sold to GIAT. I believe GIAT had some ownership stake in Beretta at the time so that fact helped expedite the process. Beretta was making a name for themselves in the US but they did not have the market share they had hoped for. The B80 using the Beretta tech and the Browning name seems to be the reason the collaboration happened. The B80 itself is a good shotgun. While a lot of the alloy receiver guns are quite tired the steel receiver versions are still in use today by hard core believers.

    I have been meaning to say how well you show these guns in the shoulder you manage to show the guns off without covering them with your hands, but then we wouldn't expect anything less 😂😂 PS was the barber busy 🤣🤣

    Try not to let the bolt run home free when the barrel is not attached! It will possibly hit the bolt handle and ruin it! I had one of these, it was a great gun and a great video!

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  9 місяців тому

      Thank you for your comment. Regards to the bolt running home I never gave it a second thought at the time. Thank you for pointing this out. I won't do it again for sure. Kind regards, Matthew

    I'm convinced we have Winchester to blame for Browning's downfall in US popularity. "Ollie" caused John to go to the Belgians for his Auto-5. Then Browning went to Miroku. Total lack of concern for America.

    Does this particular gun cycle low recoil, low fps shells ?

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  19 днів тому

      Thank you for your comment. Most semi autos usually require 70mm cartridges to function properly. Some semi autos will cycle 65mm light load cartridges .They are not really designed for light load cartridges. Kind regards, Matthew
